I read the story about Freeman Williams, I am sorry to hear that he is down and out. I played against him back in college at Oregon State. At 6'8" tall and really fast I was the assigned to guard Mr. Williams. He was leading the nation in scoring, I held him to only 27 points. I was humiliated by what he did because no one had ever busted me for 27 points. I will never forget that high arching jumper that he launched like a missle from the half court line. He would run by our bench laughing at everyone return to the freethrow line on defense just in time for the ball to come down with a swish. 30 years later I nolonger play the game, I have a Son who I laugh and tell about how famous Freeman Williams was. He was a true legend, i was honored to have played against him.
