Foster getting death threats

Thanks for posting those Brint. It's kind of an open window to how college football players see the actions of jackass fans. I love it, and I love how those types of tweets bother the minority of truly overzealous fans, who actually walk around every day of their lives believing these kids owe them something because they bought a damn ticket to a football game.

:thumb: Easy to find, the local paper keeps a feed of all active and recent players twitter handles.

Montana isn't without fans that act the exact same way, neither is NDSU or many other teams with long stretches of success. Winning and success tends to bring out the worst in a fan base when a team slips up.

Ain't that the truth ? Has egriz just got uglier than ever since last year ? Now half the posters are still pissed all the time even though we have 10 wins and a first round bye with a home playoff game.

Haha. Trust me, some of the tweets to Foster, and a quick glance at Alabama's fan forum and you get an eery feeling of "where have I heard this before?". LOL

There's that, or others that have to be pissed and say the whole team still sucks because it isn't on par with some of the very best teams they've seen in the last 25 years.

You are both speaking the truth. I came to Missoula in 1985 before the program hired Coach Read and things began to turn around. I remember what it was like to not have success even though the players we had back then were working their tails off. Maybe that helps to appreciate the unbelievable long term success of the program. Now we lose a game here and there or have one losing season in 25 and a few fans are pointing fingers and calling for blood.
The other team are trying to win just as bad as we are and their players are on scholarship for a reason and their coaches are professionals. That means that sometimes it isn't what we did wrong, it's what the opposition did right. Thus endth the sermon. 8-)
