"Late last week, Dartmouth announced that Shula has been hired as the football program’s wide receivers coach. The son of the winningest head coach in NFL history, Don Shula, Shula played his college football at Dartmouth, as did his son, Dan, and Buddy Teevens, the Big Green’s current head football coach."

Think he was Bengals' head coach for 4.5 years.

On a forum called "Montana Grizzlies Football and the FCS", Bengals is assumed to be Idaho State.

When i saw your post I thought it was going to be some Helena bengal coach I knew. Lol. I had no idea that Don Shula was an ivy leaguer and a Dartmouth man to boot. I figured him to have played somewhere in Ohio or Pennsylvania, it must be the rock jaw the guy has, like something out of a steel mill blast immigrant family. Thanks

Good point. My bad. Where I went to school, people read more than the headlines (they actually glanced at the articles in links) and knew that the world was bigger than themselves and their personal experiences.

Don Shula was not an Ivy leaguer. His son Dave was. His grandson was. Don got to a few of his son's games, including at Dartmouth.

My bad, my intuition was right should have stuck with it, he’s from northeatern Ohio and played college for John Carroll University in Cleveland. Family were devout Catholics from Hungary. Lol

One of the 2 hotshot ortho surgeons in Missoula also played at John Carroll. Dr. LaPorte.
