For those who were there…

This was a big problem for Verizon users. Couldn't do anything, even pin where our tailgate was. Pain in the ass.

I have Verizon and had no issues at the stadium, or anywhere in the Dallas area...

Dang, you were one of the few! We couldn't get texts out at the tailgate.. maybe every 10 mins or so.

I was under W3 light pole in the back row of the tailgate area and everything worked fine. There was a cafe in front of me called the Blue Goose cantina.

Didn’t want to start a “better venue” topic, but what about the MLS stadium in Houston? Just as easy to get to, and the stadium is downtown instead of whatever that Frisco thing is.

This. On board!

Or how about San Antonio (if we have to stay "middle" of the country). You could run into everyone on the Riverwalk. And not feel like you're living in the middle of a mall for 5 days (I did).

Reinell, are those all code names? Where were you actually?

I was there at this very spot.... really...There was a black double awning beside us that had all kinds of beverages out and I thought it was a sales booth. Found out quickly it was just another tailgate. I had to talk several people on the phone into my tailgate spot. Again, no issues.

Location is good, plenty of hotel options... no stadium however. Either really big (Alamodome) or high school. For a game environment and stadium, Frisco (Toyota Stadium) is hard to beat...

I was expecting it to be much nicer. If we’re talking MLS stadiums, Galaxy, and especially BMO are leaps and bounds better. Frisco itself, well, leaves a lot to be desired to put it as nicely as I can. The whole “city” gives off that “developer ran out of money” vibe.

What about the stadium where the San Antonio Gunslingers (USFL) used to play? I am for Vegas however!

Options are Freeman Coliseum and Alamo Stadium ( not to be confused with the Alamo Dome) both are old and small and not a good alternative to where the game is currently being held.

Fans who are more concerned about their extracurricular fun at a venue are treating the game like a bowl game rather than a national championship game. Most of whom repeatedly disdain bowl games in favor of a shot at a NC.
Hypocrisy.

NCAA can just renew Frisco with the swipe of pen and be done dealing with FCS for years.....they will do it as long as Frisco wants it.
