Hi all,

First, it seems like the President and his wife had a wonderful time. Although I thought there might be some pageantry between the two schools, there was not. Thus, they flew in with the team Friday night and got to their room at the Hampton Inn Downtown around 6:30pm. They explored downtown and seemed to have fun. The SEMO football team had fun at the Union Club.

Saturday while the team did a walk through of the stadium, the Vargus's explored the downtown parks. They then ate at the Finn before walking across the bridge to the stadium. I have not heard if they stopped by any of the tailgates.

Regarding some SEMO players flipping off the North End Zone before the game, they told me they were spit on, called monkeys, and had snowballs thrown at them. Off course not everyone did that just like not all players reacted. Just realize that it takes two to tango.

Cheers,

grizpsych.

I’m not sure what the big deal is here. I didn’t think SEMO’s behavior was as outrageous as some posters are making it out to be, some people need to grow a thicker skin.

They did, however, definitely come into the stadium with an attitude and a chip on their shoulder. Their run-out before the game was pretty demonstrative. That attitude was carried throughout the game and it definitely antagonized the crowd.

They clearly wanted to make a statement that they weren’t intimidated from the moment they stepped on the field. To suggest that all the shady fingers were purely reactionary is disingenuous. They wanted a reaction from the crowd and they got it. They also cast the first stone.

I, for one, enjoyed watching a team that matched the Grizzlies edge.

Exactly. I for one hope this game leads to some OOC games. Once SEMO completes it's stadium, it will be nice.
