As a Great Falls native, I grew up with the sound of jet fighters, Air Guard or Malmstrom. NEZ fans get to see it unfolding, as the flyover approachs from the south. If it is THREE fighters, expect to jump out of your on skin, as the afterburners will be LOUD AND AWESOME! Wish I could be there to see it. :thumb:

It's on the Montana Grizzlies social media gameday schedule as "US Navy F-18 Super Hornets Flyover" scheduled for 11:45 pm (assuming they meant am)

One of the pilots of the F18's is supposed to be the son of Tom Tucker, who was a great athlete growing up in Stevensville and then taught and coached in Hamilton in the late 70"s! Also went on to head up horse racing in Billings and all over the state. It'll be awesome!!! Go Griz!!!

Best fly over ever was when they had two chinooks coming over at 18 knots. They started right before kick off and I lost sight on them half way through the 3rd quarter when they ran out of fuel somewhere up the Rattlesnake. All to the strains of Rock You Like A Hurricane.
 
Three hours and 15 minutes of game broadcast, plus one hour of pre-recorded babble for the pre-game show, and MTN couldn't take 30 goddamned seconds to show the flyover??? They KNEW the flyover time was 11:45. Bush League stupidity/incompetence. Pilots attended the game, according to Riley. Shed their jackets to reveal Griz j. Didn't show that on TV either. What scat scum is running that outfit?

There was nothing to see. Totally socked in with fog. All we did was hear them fly over.

Yeah, nothing makes a producer smile like 15 seconds of grey screen on a tv broadcast.

But I suppose someone with a really bitchin 7 channel sound bar might have enjoyed it.

I don’t know about you all, but to me it’s a wonderful thing that the biggest bitch to have after the game is the dammed thermal inversion that kept the flyover from being seen.
