First Game

Simple question here. Do you think we sell it out? Do the new TV deals help or hurt attendance? Student tickets will sell it via first game. New students. But.... With the offseason, what are your thoughts?

Of course a sellout...This is still Griz Nation and these kids need our support now more than ever.
Go Griz!

I've been looking forward to this game more than in years past. I hope there are more like me and we easily sell out and be as loud as ever

Griz Nation is stronger than ever, and looking forward to the season more than ever :!: The stadium will be packed with the best college footballs in the world, bar none.

GO GRIZ

lots of new and very young players on USD will not fare well...

this is not the USD team that handled EWU and a year prior beat the Gophers in Minn....

loud and proud

Over on scat nation I noticed a poster wanting to bet that the scats fare better than us. He may lose some serious $$ on that one.

Of course it's a sell out. Hell, when you have 17,500 season tickets, 500 tickets to the visitors, 300 to the band, 3500 student tickets, etc, every game is a sell out. Now, I doubt there will be a full 26,000 butts in the seats, but it is absolutely a sell out.

The Cats may not get more butts in the seats, but they will get more W's in the won/loss column! Oh, and they will sell out every home game too!

my wife got one more ticket last wednesday at the griz tix person that day said all that was left was a scattered 50 or so tickets in the south endzone. i checked griztix online and it says no seats available. will there be some season-ticket holders that are no-shows? of course, that's par for the course. will there be a 100 or so scalped tickets not getting sold on game day? of course. that's nothing new!! same old Griz Nation in full force!!! 25,000 plus is a sell-out at Wash-Griz no matter what a few Cat posters say or how many empty seats they count on TV...

For the record, that was a Griz fan trying to bet Cat fans that the Cats would sell more. No one bit. I don't even think our stupidest Cat fans would take that one.

Labor Day could hurt attendance, but it could help too. I'm a good example. Because of the long Labor Day weekend, I'm taking advantage and driving over from SoDak to watch the game. So, yeah, you might lose a few folks who are leaving Missoula for the weekend, but you gain a few that are coming to town too. See ya in the NEZ on Saturday! :thumb:

As of last year, there are actually just north of 19,000 season tickets sold. I am told there are similar numbers in 2012 - possibly a few less.

Well I'd hope so on the Cats and wins. The ultimate cream puff schedule. You only have three competative games.

Who are the competitive games for msu and who are the competitive games for UM?

IF MSU only has three, I'd say UM only has 4. Do you disagree?
