FIRE GREGORAK RIGHT NOW!!!!

Player Rep looks up to Gregorak so much. Gregorak is the only guy that has them over for dinner more. That's a lot of jock to sniff

Played high school football only and coached high school football only, but I saw some things last week that Southern Utah took advantage of and that ND actually did the same thing. One was the zone blitz package involving Tripp and Wags. They line up side by side on the line of scrimmage. One or both will be coming. Because both are at the line of scrimmage, they released either the tight end or the back and the one who did not come was a step behind and it was 5 to 7 yards at least. I think maybe keep Tripp off the line of scrimmage and dont give the quarterback a guaranteed 5 yard play every time. Also, Ty seemed to have Tully rotating over to the trip side way to quickly and as a result, it left Hermy trying to catch up on the Hardin when he released. I have not been happy with our safety tackling this year and our ball insticts at that spot, but it seemed like our d-coordinator put them in a bad position to start the game and was way too slow to adjust.

I will admit, I was high on TY getting the DC job. In hindsight, I was completely wrong, as were many GRIZ fans. Ty, how on God's earth did you decide to learn more from Paulsen than Mike Breske? At least Paulsen's defenses were solid with RZ defense and take aways, which made up for many shortcomings with his strategy.

I can understand growing pains, if there is actual growth happening. That is the problem, there is no growth with this defense whatsoever. How bad is it on defense? Even casual GRIZ fans know the defense cannot defend the pass, yet dominate the run. Our defensive strategy gives teams no reason to mix it up, because your pass defense strategy is predictable and has more holes than Swiss Cheese.

To top it off, when a teams struggles with any aspect of the game, most coaches make strategic and/or personnel adjustments. That is common sense coaching 101 in all sports. This defense has not gotten better, if anything it has gotten worse. Last year Hermanson (sp) looked like a future all conference Safety. This year, he looks like someone that does not belong at this level. Yet, he is continually on the field killing our defense. Bo Tully, is actually getting better from earlier in the year. Nonetheless, his play has not justified not being challenged for his spot.

Why on God's earth aren't Dennard and Goodwin our main CB's? Unlike rest our secondary, they consistently are in position to make plays. Our front 7 is very good at stopping the run. With pass defense being our weakness, and our safeties struggling, would it hurt to us more CB's? That can actually cover. Would it hurt to have our CB's learn to play bump? This soft zone is pathetic no matter what the coverage scheme is!!!!!

Come on Ty, you are smarter than this!!!! Get your shit together, and adapt more secondary aggressiveness. At least shake things up, to figure out what in the hell works and what in the hell does not!!!!!

Ty, your defense is pathetic in one area, and if it does not improve, kiss your DC job good bye.

I have to applaud PR's attempt to defend Ty and the Griz defense following yesterday's debacle. Unfortunately, however, PR's defense was about as good as the Griz pass defense was- bad. Our safety was so far out of position so many times it was nausiating. That was the worst defensive effort I have ever seen from the Griz.
