Will somebody please let Coach K know that Craig Finberg would be an excellent coach to replace Huse. What a slap in the face that would be to the Cats to have one of thier Hall of Famers as our next assistant. HURRY! :thumb:

Word has it that the Cats didn't even give Finny the respect of a call back from his application for the head coaching job. Good class Cats. Don't even call back a great coach, and a Hall of Famer. I doubt you will see him on the Cat bench or any booster functions. Hey, but that is just barstool rumor.

I'm with you, murfo! I would love to see Finberg on the GRIZ sidelines because he is a great coach and it would be a major victory in psychological warfare vs. the Shitty Kitties.

And if you're right that his alma matter insulted him, it would that much swetter to see Finberg in Missoula come October or earlier.

As much as Finberg meant to Bobcat basketball and with all of his success at Dillon in high school Class A ball, I can't believe that Fields didn't at least interview Craig.

If Huse is as smart as everyone thinks he is, he'll hire both Craig and Danny Sprinkle as his assistants.

If he doesn't, Krysko or Wayne would be crazy not to give Craig a hard sniff.

I don't know as much about Finberg as others on this board. However, I did see the Class A state chipper this year. I had not seen either team play, and didn't know much about them.

I can tell you that, before the game, I thought Frenchtown would absolutely kill CF. It appeared that they had the much better athletes.

However, CF was very well coached, and hung around until the end. They won that game on coaching and heart.

Maybe I've been away from Montana too long, I didn't think that Craig Finberg coached at CF...I thought his brother Cary (sp??) did. Didn't Craig spend this year helping coach Western???

Craig was an assistant at Western Montana this year. His brother is the coach at Columbia Falls.
