Final STATS poll

I hadn't seen this posted anywhere yet. South Dakota at number 4 was a little surprising to me considering how they lost to NDSU. I thought Furman was a lot better than either Villanova or Albany and should have been above them. And maybe the cats are too high. Ha.

Idaho did better than I expected, but at least in the STATS poll, they weren't top 6 (as I said). I would have ranked Furman above Vill. and Albany.

The Griz played 6 of top 11 (so only missed 4), and 7 of top 15. I think NDSU played 6 of top 11 too.

I'd like to see which posters predicted the team would go to the championship game. I think there were some.

My June prediction/statement that the Griz would be favored coming into the Cat game looks good now. I don't recall anyone else saying that. I need to look to see if I said that in the middle of the night. Ha.

South Dakota is oddly placed. I’d move Furman and Villanova to 4, Albany 6, SD to 7, and keep the taters and kitties where they are.

One pollster did not vote for Montana second. That just tells you what a joke that entire *poll is.

*purposefully misspelled.

I remember seeing someone's poll on Twitter and he had Furman ahead of Montana. 🙄

Griz 2024 schedule is simply a cake walk compared to this year. Hopefully they get all the chess pieces in place for another run at the NC.

Good grief. If Haley had any nads (or sense), he'd immediately and permanently ban any pollster that stupid.

Has to be one of the jokers who thinks having fans in attendance is an unfair advantage. Only in the FCS does one cry about playing in front of a crowd.

In a league where home field advantage is earned.

Impressive that the Big Sky and the Missouri Valley each had five teams in the top 25. Don't believe there is much question as to where the power in the FCS lies.

Teams that do not play in the playoffs should never be ranked. I am going to catch a lot of trash for this, but the top HBCU's do not play for the NC and to include a third rate team from the HBCU conferences shouldn't be allowed. The Celebration Bowl is the HBCU NC.

Oh, btw, I have no respect what-so-ever for the NEC, Pioneer or Patriot Conferences.

If I had to vote, this is how I would have voted.

1. South Dakota State
2. Montana
