The wind HAD to affect completion percentages and drops. Man, it was really whistling thru the stadium. It was obvious how it affected the kickers.

My fault, you are correct. What I meant was its still his first year, this is his first spring ball. But you are correct, he will be a RS freshman next year.

Pflug was working against the 3's and 4's. Also, his passes may have had "touch," but it seemed like a little too much touch to me; more like tossing. I thought he gave the db a chance to react. If my memory is correct, the longer completion that he threw was mostly the result of a good run by the wr. Don't get me wrong, I like the way he looked off the defense and the command he seemed to have of the offense, I just wasn't impressed with his arm strength; maybe it was the wind. I do think a red shirt year and some time in the weight room will help him significantly.

You guys need to get off the Prater bandwagon PlAYErrape will be upset, he has spoken and thinks Prater sucks, you must follow him and the Wahlberg marching orders.
Watching yesterday, Mr. Nguyen did not look to me as if he is number One. I liked Logwood power much better! I think when Tre Favors and Joey counts are healthy, Mr Nguyen will not be called upon so often. The pass from Gus to Henderson was perfect! If the wind wasn't blowing a Gale, it was a TD! JR Nelson was impressive as was Ty Holmes! I think Mr. Holmes will command double team respect all season. Crittenden played very well also IMO!.

I don't believe a lot of the passes yesterday were simply dropped passes. Although, the majority of them hit the receivers body, the passes that were dropped for the most part were behind the receivers. I don't recall too many over throws, just off the mark a slight bit passes, all QB's. Several passes looked like they were bullets because the gusty wind would let up as the QB was delivering the ball and zoom past, or behind the receivers.

BW - all the offensive discussions non-withstanding, if the secondary comes together and they can manage to stay relatively healthy this year, does this look like potentially one of the best D's in recent memory? I know they are just playing against their own, but it feels like this is a group with some swagger, attitude, what ever you want to call D0LA on that side of the ball.

I like a lot of this defense. This could be one of the better pass defenses we have seen. The secondary and LBs are talented, fast, and the roster is very deep. The d line is 3/4's new and while the new faces are doing well... I just worry about the effects of replacing Takai, Reh,, and Wags.

Like say the receiver should've been hit on the run and thus had an opportunity for YAC, but it was thrown a little behind him. I'm not saying they all would've been easy catches, but there were quite a few that should've been caught. I can remember at least two that bounced off the WR/RB's chest. The last one bounced high enough it had the potential for an easy pick had someone been close enough.
Lyons, I noticed made some good plays, but did have some key drops as well. And that Carlson kid had his name called quite a bit.
