Fife QB1

I love Fife, but this is an ignorant statement. The WHOLE offense along with great play calling is why we scored a ton of points. That's like saying we don't win against W. Carolina if Ah Yat doesn't score 4 TDs last game. And for you to say Ah Yat being hurt is a blessing is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Ok, it’s a blessing that fife had the opportunity to start, that better? Sheesh, obviously I don’t want anyone hurt. Damn you guys just find a way to find the worst in everything. Just trying to say I don’t think ah yat makes half those crucial throws. My god. Y’all need to chill

Fife throws for 365 yards, 5 TD's, no pics and like Ah Yat, he has a set of wheels--he can and did stretch the field tonight with his legs when necessary !!!

I too think Fife should start over Ah Yat due to being a couple of years older and having played more college football at a high level from his days at Fresno State, which won a lot of games when he was there.

I hope that Ah Yat heals up quickly and we have him back soon. Before this year is over, we will probably need both of them again with both of them continuing to play crucial roles not only guiding our O but in our team's overall success for this year !!!

In my opinion it’s Fife. Primarily because of the critical throws he completes on 3rd/4th down and for touchdowns. Fife has an accurate arm and the courage to let it fly. Most recent data point is the Olson TD where he threaded the needle to seal the win at EWU on 4th and goal.
That pass had some ZIP on it too. That was an absolute dart. He had a couple of those.

Looks comfortable, confident, making good reads, completing tough and key passes when needed and can run if he needs to. And, add what he did at Eastern to the fourth quarter against WCU, no question he's making a case to be the starter! Like someone else said, K-Yat or Fife, which one? - good problem to have!! We are fortunate to have both and as we've already seen, we need them both!

Go Griz!

On our 2nd possesion when it was 1st and goal, Fife missed Keelan White when it was 1st and goal from about the 9. I commented on the game thread at that time - Sofar I'm not impressed with Fife.
It wasn't long after that that I wrote that he had proven me wrong. And boy he did! It was an amazing game by him under a lot of mental pressure, knowing how easily EWU could score.

Hoops said - Fife has a tremendous game. What's the reason Fife hasn't started? Just curious.

Remember we had Vidlak start last year? So that could have been asked last year.

My answer is that KAY was a known factor to the coaches coming in and they liked what they saw of him, so he probably started the season with that advantage.
I've seen that Fife has proven he can perform under serious game pressure. I believe that KAY can too. While I am thrilled that we have both, I don't envy Hauck having to pick one going forward once KAY is 100% healthy.

Be better... I h8 that phrase. It relieves people of their accountability for their poor behavior instead of calling them out for being a rather large penis.
