UM certainly kept it close in 2004 and Craig Ochs had a helluva game. The deplorable turf was the most significant factor in the loss, not coaching.

I'm not gonna read 90% of this thread because the answer is, Fife is like most QBs he looks good when his receivers get open and OL gives him time. Fontes can't catch a cold and there has been nobody else open (besides Bergen) for 2 straight games. No QB in the world can make magic happen when nobody is open, especially when you are a throwing-only QB. Sam Darnold was a bum for the Jets, but (all-of-a sudden?) he's a great QB now that he has the best WR in the world to throw to on a great team? QBs take way to much blame for bad teams or lack of success. This is,By far, the worst receiving corps in recent (30 years) Griz history.
