Greetings from Ferris to Griz nation. First shout out to your team. Been following since our game and what your team has done is crazy impressive. When I first checked your board people were ready to have Hauck walk the plank. This turnaround has been amazing. I'm rooting for you guys to bring home the Natty.
Seen this thread for Ferris and thought I'd give a lil update. Would say out of the last 3 seasons this was by far our worst team. Lost some studs to graduation, had a really young oline, portal took our starting MLB to Oklahoma and some DBs to MAC schools. Interestingly, our starting TE from last year transferred to Furman and seemed to have had a pretty good game against you guys (Mason Pline 9 rec 78 yds 1 td).
Lost in 1st round of POs to rival Grand Valley. As stated, head coach was suspended and lost 21-14. D2 playoffs are broken. Everything is done by region to save money on flights. 5 of the top 6 teams were all in the same region and played against each other in the first 3 weeks of the playoffs so only 1 could make it through to the semis. Imagine SDSU, Montana, Idaho, South Dakota and Montana State all playing each other in the 1st, 2nd and Quarterfinal rounds. Idiotic.
Anyways good luck to you guys. Don't know if I'll have a bourbon or a beer in my hand next month but I'll be a Griz for a day.
