Montana is a complete joke! You can tell that they haven't even had internet very long over there because they don't even know how to use a forum.

I said it on our facebook page, and I will say it here. The weather will be a non-factor for those playing. The only people that it will bother is the coaches who might give a little shiver while they are signaling in the plays. Anyone that has actually played the game of football knows that once you start playing, your body produces enough heat to stay plenty warm. With the gear that a player wears (plus the additional gear we will have on), there is no way those guys will be cold. The players standing on the sideline may get a little cold, but they will have heaters there as well. I have played in snow before (temps in high teens)... I realize it will be colder this weekend, but I can remember the cold was no issue at that temp. I am sure that the temp dropping 10 more degrees will not make such a drastic difference.

The noise will be a non-factor. We have played in front of packed SEC stadiums, and the crowd noise was never an issue. I talked to a couple of former players from App today and asked if it was that bad there. They played in the 2009 game. They both said it was a good atmosphere and got loud, but it was nothing so bad that should make a big difference other than the Griz feeding off of it as a motivator.

The one issue to worry about more than the others is us. We are traveling a long ways. I hope that our players can stay focused on the task at hand, keep there game together, and take care of business.

So about the weather. I can't tell you how many times I have seen players/coaches/fans from the south say this and end up eating their words. Sure they usually come out and have a decent 1st quarter and maybe even part of the second, but then the cold hits their bones. They start to fear the hit and you can see the demeanor of the team change. Especially when our line is out there bare-armed and still going 110%. The weather will be a factor. It always is. It isn't just boasting. It has happened time and time again.

And the noise. That sweet, glorious noise. While I know attendance will be down due to the weather I have comfort in knowing that the people that will be there are the loud ones that will not be fazed by it. It may not be another game like App State this year, where I couldn't hear myself scream, but it will no doubt be loud. The psychological factor of the cold and the noise will make a difference.

I can't wait for the Montana boys to put a hurtin on these guys just to shut these guys up.

So, let me see if I've got this straight:

1) Playing in the acknowledged loudest stadium in FCS will be a non-factor...
2) Playing outdoors in single digit temps that are 70 degrees COLDER than what you were in 24 hours ago will be a non-factor...

But it's that 3 hour PLANE ride that's the killer.

 Go Griz FTCCU
Nothing we haven't heard before.

Well there you have it. The prediction now is that they will lose because they had to travel 2500 miles. Not the cold. They do actually get this cold down there every time a breeze kicks up on the beach. BTW. If anybody finds my wagon wheel, could you please let me know. The horses are having a hard time pulling my wagon to work.

Could we start some more stupid ass threads.

Hold on. I'm researching some skin creams that are supposed to keep you warm in -40 windchill conditions.
I wonder if Pam would have that affect?

Pam who? ;)
Old Story-Sac state put pam on their uniforms to make them slick. My post was a joke with a double meaning. Adding pam to skin to protect if from cold and to make them slick at the same time.
