To those of you who have been apologists for many years during the Hauck and Pflu regimes, and have followed the cancer known as Playa-rape during this era, it looks like the axe has now fallen. You stood in line to support these athletes and coaches, and now the day of reckoning has arrived! You see, it is always just a matter of time before the recruitment policies of thugs and cover-up of criminal acts via the football program catches up to any program in America. Many schools have experienced it, and now, we are getting our just due.

I hope that the fact that there is now no dispute as to whether our crisis has become a national issue, some of you meatheads will remove your heads from your derrieres and admit that the firings of our AD and head coach were necessary to clean house and start a new era (rather, RETURN to a former era). If the house-cleaning needs to go further up the ladder, then so be it! Just understand that our program has been soiled nationally, and needs an enema, which has already started happening.

You are the biggest joke on the pfucking planet Dill! You have posted on here multiple times how you could pick up the phone and call your pal George Dennison any time you wanted and "make things happen" so you the asshole responsible since you didn't take care of this "thug" problem by telling your pal George to clean house. Do you really think anyone ever believed your bullshit. Do us all a favor and GFY. you are a total waste of skin you old fat little prick

Notice how everyone on here ignores your rants? Why don't get a clue, stick thumb up your ass, and implode. You are a disgusting hunk of worthless protoplasm that should be rendered to help solve the gasoline shortage. The proctologist just called, and they found your head.

I welcome the investigation. Maybe some facts will come out rather than rumor and innuendo. That might be a good thing for all involved. As the saying goes, 'the truth shall set you free". If you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to worry about. Let's get this done and move on.

You have everything to hide........ your entire body! You give new meaning to the old adage "roll him in flour and search for the wet spot"

The Obama Administration showed today that it's willing to take unprecedented steps to try to prevent sexual assaults on college campuses when the U.S. Department of Justice announced that it has opened a series of investigations into how the University of Montana in Missoula and local law enforcement agencies handled reports of sexual assaults.

Yep. Missoula, UM and the Griz football team are now officially insurgent fighters in the war on women. Not that anyone would stir the pot in an election year.

Yeah, it's never a bad thing when the U.S. Attorney General tells the national press that the allegations of botched sex crimes investigations by your university and local government are "very disturbing."
I mean, just look at all the other American communities that have been investigated for the mishandling of 80 rapes. I can't think of one off the top of my head, but I'm sure they are many that have just been forgotten because this kind of stuff is really not a bad thing.

Sure, millions of Americans woke up to news of wild and woolly Missoula where rape is harder to prove than global warming, but don't worry. Next week the Zoo is sure to be in Outdoor Magazine's ranking of 10 best places to live, or Entrepreneur's 50 best places to locate a business. I'll bet the University of Montana even moves up a couple rungs in U.S. News 2012 rankings of colleges and universities.

Hey, it's never a bad thing when the feds look up your butt. It's like a teacher checking your homework. And when she's done, you'll get your A grade just wait and see
Do I sense some sarcasm here?

Not to down play the situation in Missoula, but I find it interesting that there were 80 reports of sexual assault over the past 3 years, but in Bozeman there were 80 reports in 2011.

they are investigating that as many as 80 rape cases in missoula have been MISHANDLED in the last three years. that is not how many rapes have been reported there in the last three years. quite a difference...

This does have all of the pinnings of political move. It has Pat "I wish I was still relevant" Williams written all over it. Here is a quote form the article in Yahoo: "The investigation comes in the midst of an election year in which women's issues have moved to the forefront as condidates seek to burnish their credentials among female voters." Probably why Van Valkenburg is so pissed about it, its just a political move. I guess Obama isn't afraid to throw a University and a small town under the bus if it means he might get a couple more women (including Growler 1) votes.

 ya mean it's not gwen florio's fault. it's obama's fault. looks like gwen is off the hook. :coffee:

Its not political. My daughter has personal experience with both the U and ESPECIALLY the police department and County attorney.

As far as I am concerned Muir (who was not chief in the time but did take the report) and Vanvalkenburg need to room at the state pen with a three hundred pound queer, and the student assault center on campus selling girl scout cookies

Two days in the hospital from the beating the beating that came with it, and she was told it could have been avoided if she didn't walk home from work.

Just like the assholes here attitude, I'm tired of hearing from our "officials" not enough proof, women lie, and bring it on themselves...

You defending SOB's have no clue what you sound like or the attitude you project. Wonder why two "good men" lost their jobs? Look in the mirror, they were just like you Women lie, bring it on themselves and not enough proof. Guess what the real world doesn't look at that way. Keep it up guys and the only griz you will be watching are the little griz....

I think you are wrong? I think they are investigating the 80 cases of reported sexual assault period. How would they know 80 cases have been mishandled if they have not investigated yet? That is how I understood it anyways.

If you don't have anything to hide or fear, then it shouldn't bother you. If you are doing things right, then it can be a vindication for you. Nothing we can do now but wait for it anyways.

I think ilovethecats is right. This is what it says on CNN.com: "(CNN) -- The U.S. Justice Department has launched an investigation into allegations that up to 80 complaints of sexual assault over three years were not investigated thoroughly because of gender bias in a college town in Montana."

I think it's pretty known that most women are dumbasses and liars.

gawd wrinkle, you are a piece of work. do you take yourself seriously? i've read absurd things on egriz, but twisting this into a conspiracy in which obama is throwing a small university and town under the bus in order to get women's votes?

it is much better known that jcewe smokes oregano. having said that, while some women are indeed liars and dumbasses, so are roughly the same percentage of men (probably more).

It obviously has to be a conspiracy. Why else would the Department of Justice want to protect women?
