With 7 of the top 25 Idle and only one game with ranked opponents, this week is truly lack luster.
And it gets worse from there. :(

Besides the Idles, two ranked teams are playing bone fide cupcakes (PSU vs Western Oregon and McNeese at Mississippi College) and four others are playing true losers. Examples: SDSU is at home against Robert Morris (1-2) -- which was 1-10 last year and, except for a D-II win, has lost 6 games in a row going back into last year. And E. Kentucky is at home against Austin Peay, which has lost 8 games in a row.

I'm having a hard time finding games for my usual "upset guesses" poll. :x

I watched all of the UNI EWU game. UNI looked pretty good, although Eastern gave up 150 yards of penalties and some bad turnovers. Eastern was without Kupp and Hennessey too so who knows. Anyway, I don't know why UNI played so poorly in their first game. They have a couple fairly dynamic QBs, a good running game, and a surprising defense. I was impressed with their balance and think they could receive a fairly high seed come playoff time.

Cupp had 9 receptions for 179 yards and 2 TDs. Hennessey was 13 of 18 for 177 yards and 1 TD.

Kupp didn't play in the second half, and Hennessey left in the third quarter. UNI earned the win and could have played even better.
