Man EWU stepped up with the scheduling also...Oregon, UNI, then the Cats...I give them credit.

I think Weber is in for an A$$ kicking...

Facing ND State that has been thinking about the loss at UM for 2 weeks...

54-7

Liberty could be a bit beat up following their game with West Virginia when we see them.
Our bye came at a good time for us. I sure hope that plays out in our favor.
Go Griz!

Could not agree more. The Bison have probably been having theirs a**es chew constantly for every mistake -- big or little -- in that first game: Every blown assignment, every dropped ball, and so on. They will be ready to take it out on the Weebs, and they have plenty of talent to make it hurt. :o

Totally ambivalent on the possible effect of this one.

With a good opener -- but against a recent FCS move-up -- West Virginia has got to figure they need a lot of "style points" in this game. They are #30 (fifth among "Others receiving votes") in the latest AP poll. They probably need to absolutely crush Liberty to have any hope of getting into the top-25, and could even lose ground. So they are likely to be fired up, and could jump out way ahead and cause Liberty to say "ah, the Hell with it." Okay :) , I know the Libs would never let that word pass their lips, but you get my point. In that case, the Liberty coaches would probably just give everyone some playing time so no one really gets "beat up." (The notion that FCS teams suffer more/worse injuries when they play FBS teams is greatly over-blown.)

I lean toward the thought that a somewhat (or highly) competitive game would be to the favor of the Griz. Liberty would then keep their best players out there and they would put forth their maximum effort -- and that might beat them up, wear them down, etc. Now, if they actually pulled off the upset (highly unlikely), that might be a problem because their confidence would be sky high for the Griz. A strong showing would still give them confidence, but the expenditure of energy (physical and emotional) in a final loss could help the Griz.

Tough one to judge.

I don't know if this has ever happened in the history of the NCAA.

Tonight UT-Martin scored 72 points in a 62 point win.
Last week they lost 76-3 to Mississippi.

I doubt that a team has ever given up 70+ points and then the next week scored 70+ points.

Also, lost by 73 and then won by 62... doubt that's ever happened!

This game should have never been sched...

Boston College 41
Howard 0

IN THE FIRST QUARTER! with 3 minutes left

Looks like the Top 25 will stay pretty much the same.

Only 8 Top 25 Teams lost
5 to FBS- no embarassment losses (Im counting Poly. down 14 early)
Fordham lost to #2 Villinova by 7
EWU lost to #14 on the road by 3

Only ISU losing by 20 to PSU at home would be considered a "Bad" Loss.

So drop ISU out and Put (2-0) PSU in at about #20 and that should be your week 3 Top 25
