Some outstanding games mixed with a lot of loser combinations. Too many ranked teams playing opponents they should crush. So I had to play the “home field” card and pick several games where the unranked opponent has a losing record … but they’re at home so they might possibly have a chance. That includes the huge South Dakota rivalry game. Of course, some of the other matchups also have the underdog at home.

As usual, two choices, can change later.

1. NDUSU
2. JMU
3. UM
4. SSU
5. SDSU

That's my guesses.
Well, those are really going out on a limb, especially since JMU is playing pathetic Rhode Island (2-9).

Not sure about SSU: Is that Savannah State University or perhaps Cal State University-Sacramento?

Edit: Should have also said –- "You're guess is as good as mine." ;)

Weird. The auto-entry feature sure messed me up on this. Not sure how that happened ... and didn't notice 'cause I got too busy.

The Citadel because the SoCon is weird and Youngstown due to pride and injuries.
I thought about -- and may yet -- changing my pick when I read that the injuries to the Illinois State QB and also their #2 RB were season-ending (surgery for the QB, Davis). Backups are a true freshman and a redshirt freshman. Of course, I-State wins by their defense (#14 Total D), not their offense (#107 Total O), but still ...

Not bad: Thursday morning and we have 70 votes. Strange(?) that only one person has any faith in that powerhouse of FCS football, Duquesne.

One of the potential upset games -- Nicholls at SE Louisiana -- is about to start. Unfortunately, we have not been able to find any broadcast on DirecTV.

VERY important game: The winner gets a share of the Southland Conference title and the auto-bid. The loser will have to "sweat if out" (with seven D-I wins) for an at-large bid. Myself, I think the loser stays home ... unless there's an absolute blood-bath on Saturday.

I've got the two big rivalry games. Go big or go home.

Southern Illinois over the Beeson.
Salukis bitter upper Midwest wasn't given to Illinois at statehood.

South Dakota over South Dakota State.
They simply hate rabbits. Don't understand, how can you hate rabbits?

One of my picks right so far: Nicholls over SE Louisiana (barely, 28-27).

Lots of late voting for this upset (was way behind at about 70 votes, then surged to the lead). Bandwagon fans, or some late info that I missed?

Citadel over Wofford!
Salukis will beat NDSU at home! 1982 is right on this one! They’ve won 5 in a row, and have a great rushing game going with DJ Davis and Javon Williams, and are in a win and they’re in situation. The Bison may be looking toward the playoffs a week early! I’m gonna be right on this one...or wrong!

Well, Elmer Fudd hated that Wascally Wabbit, Bugs. So shall we consider SDSU the Fuddy-duddies?

Okay, who voted after the game was over? :x That's what it looks like anyway. Went from 20 to 21 votes for the Nicholls upset between late last night and this morning.

I have no clue how to lock out a choice without messing up everything else. Oh well.

Another possible upset game this evening ... still can't find any DirecTV broadcast for it.

Some people like a sure thing. Two more votes for the Nicholls upset of SE Louisiana ... about forty hours after the game was over. :)

No upset of Central Arkansas ... they beat Inky Word, 52-35

Further thought: Remember, you can still change your vote(s). You can even change them to/from the games that have already happened ... if you're that kind of person. ;)

Meanwhile,
GO GRIZ! :egriz:

Whelp, maybe I should use that strategy since I picked Inc Word. Revisionist predicting.
