PROBABLE BLOW-OUTS
...
20. Bethune-Cookman Wildcats (7-2) at Norfolk State (4-5) (Thurs Night)

Two of the most inept teams it has been my misfortune to watch. Yes, the field conditions were not ideal, but they both just stunk. The final score was 13-7 Beth-Cook ... and 4 of B-C's points came on Safeties.

And they'll be a playoff participant.

Maybe not. The MEAC has several one-loss teams. I haven't looked at all the matchups to close the season, but I notice that So Carolina State (one of the 1-loss teams) has the tie-breaker over B-C. I don't care if B-C is ranked, I just don't see the MEAC getting two teams in ... even with 24 spots now. (But I could be wrong. ;) :( )

Maine got a turnover in the red zone, could not get a first down (much less a TD), and settled for a FG. They lead #8 Richmond 9-6 in Q2. Both teams have missed a PAT. DirecTV channel 608-1 (not in HD, unfortunately).

Wofford came out and had a big run right out of the gate and lead #13 Chattie, 6-0. PAT blocked.

(That's a theme so far, BTW, seems like there have been a half dozen missed or blocked PATs already.)

Bryant game is over; they won 20-17. Duquesne missed a chip-shot FG with 25 sec left that would have tied the game. Don't know what would have happened in OT, but bad Special Teams cost them a chance.

For Griz playoff chances, how do we want other BS games to go this week? Rooting for Poly? Against? What do we think?
