Here's a nice FCS Recruting article that is floating around. The writer labels the clear winner of each conference. A nice write up on the Griz:

What? MSU didn't even get an honorable mention? Participation ribbon? Door prize? Anything? Word was Choke and co did phenomenal.

Kitty fans will never acknowledge it. Regardless of what anyone says, even unbiased national observers, they are perpetual paper champs.

They got a few good MT players, as did the Griz. Obviously getting the most MT players does not equate to having the best recruiting class. The Griz undoubtedly have a superior recruiting class compared to the cats this year and the dominance over lil bro will continue. EWU and NAU both have nice classes too, which is good for the Big Sky. It would be nice to see 2-3 elite Big Sky teams (Griz, EWU, NAU perhaps) that can play with the best from any conference in the country, including the MVC. I think that's a real possibility the way things are trending.

Here is what caught my eye - "The thing that really sticks out with the Grizz (sic) is this group of linemen coming in. Thayne Jackson, Ashton Torres and Dylan Eickmeyer form easily the best line trio going to any FCS school. These guys are going to be able to pound the opposition into the pieces up front. The wide receivers are very impressive too."

boom on that little bro

And what's crazy about that is Conlan Beaver and Brandon Scott are no joke either. This OL will absolutely dominate soon. Scott is 6'7 330 lbs.....you can't teach size. That is a big kid!

Good post and I completely agree. Would be great to see the Big Sky have 2 or 3 elite teams year in, year out. Montana was there for years, but had no help, Eastern had a good run recently but the Griz were going through a rough spell. Would be nice to see a few teams put some good years together, would make the conference that much better.

Looking at the recent history and the current recruiting classes, I'd says UM, NAU, and EWU have a good shot to do it...

NAU Class took a hit when QB-Jack Smith, changed his mind on signing day and signed with ASU

Not sure he goes 330. Look @ his pictures the last couple of days. The most svelte 330 I've ever seen. Not saying he isn't big, just doesn't look it.
