And makes me wonder what we're even doing in this division. Duqusne's facilities are far more the FCS norm than are Montana's.

Comsidering the AVERAGE FCS attendance is over 4 times the size their stadium holds that's incorrect.

Do you have data that shows the average FCS attendance to be about 9000? That would surprise me.

total accumulated attendence 4,867,654 and 639 games is 7618 average attendance for FCS
Duquesne avg attendence is 1,372 (ranked 124 of 125)

Avg FCS attendance is 5.5 times the size of their avg attendance and 3.5 times the size of their stadium capacity.

Yep ... took care of that for you (see post above at 11:20 am).

Here's the part that amazes me.:

Division II teams averaged 3,116 in home attendance, and D-III was 1,969.

Remember, the NCAA runs championships at both the D-II and D-III level. There's NO WAY those playoffs come close to paying for themselves.
