FCS on DirecTV (Saturday, August 31)

Because there are so many “money” games tomorrow, we have a bunch of games that involve FCS teams being broadcast on DirecTV (even if you don’t have the Sporks Pack to give you the 700 channels). FWIW, the list includes seven ranked FCS teams (shown in [brackets] ). There are also two FCS vs FCS games on “regular” TV … although not many are going to be interested in the teams: Bethune-Cookman at Jackson State and Morehouse College at Alabama A&M.

Could not find a station carrying the Sacred Heart at Maine game ... which turns out to be
"just as well." The Black Bears are just obliterating SH, 42-7 at the half.

I wanted to bump this back near the top, and found a neat football story ... even if it isn't FCS. Late last night, Nevada upset Big Ten Purdue with a last-second 56 yard field goal. It was the longest of the kicker's career. Then, after the game the walk-on kicker was put on scholarship. How's that for earning it? :thumb:

Note that three FCS vs FBS games start at 10 o'clock. Only one of those is on the "Upset Guesses" poll: Indiana State at Kansas. Howard is most likely going to get killed by Maryland. I do think Northern Iowa might give Iowa State a tussle for maybe a quarter, but I-State is ranked and those seldom end well for the FCS team.
