Had to go back a bit for this thread, but thought I could add a little humor to the board.
Wife was looking over older stuff we had recorded and came across this gem from week #2: Tarleton State (Texans)
at Sam Houston State. Just for fun -- not especially interested in the games on tonight -- we started it rolling and watched a bit. In case you're wondering, Tarleton is a D-II ... and they were very good last year, winning the Lone Star Conference. They are supposedly rebuilding after losing a bunch of starters, but you'd never know it from this game.
The final score was 37-26 Texans, and the game was did not actually seem that close. Tarleton put up almost 700 years of offense against SFA, and the two teams almost reached eleven hundred yards between them. At least SFA decisively won the Time Of Possession battle, 35:45 to 24:15.
After getting crushed by Baylor, the Lumberjacks are now 0-2. Maybe, just maybe, Southern Utah can make it 0-3.
