Two ranked teams now in action. And, lo and behold, at the half, unranked Maine leads #11 James Madison, 10-13. Maine, playing at home, has come out with their hair on fire -- playing much better than JMU. (Watching on DTV 639 -- excellent picture, BTW.)

No score so far in the Charleston So at Monmouth game. (No TV on that one.)

Maine doesn't look like they want to play defense too much
Yeah, and that 85-yard TD run by the JMU back let out a lot of air in the stadium. JMU leads 17-13.

Deep into Q2, still no score in the Chas So - Monmouth game.

Thanks for the heads up on the channel numbers, Ida. Just signed up this morning for the sports package so it is a learning process. :thumb:

We have found it to be well worth the money.

Maine scored back, BTW, and again lead #11 JMU, 20-17. #12 Chas So has finally scored on Monmouth ... now lead 7-0.

Sad about the Griz ... but CP is a way better team than people have given them credit for.

That said, some good things in FCS today. First, Western Illinois won at Northern Illinois. Granted, NI is not an FBS super-power, they have been to bowls for like three years in a row. Final score 28-23.

Within FCS, #9 Illinois State lost to unranked Indiana State, final score 34-31.

Also, as it stands now, unranked Elon is leading at #8 William & Mary, 17-3 with less than a minute in the first half. (Watching on DTV 642.)

EWU currently leading NAU, 19-14, midway thru Q2. (DTV 693)

Probably posted somewhere else, but UND beat the kitties (in Bozeman), 17-15.

And, at the half, St. Francis (PA) leads #22 Albany, 9-0. (SF-PA can play defense.)

EWU leading NAU (36-28) ... no surprise, but just noticed that Kupp has already put up over 100 yards in receptions, just starting Q4. Guy is amazing. Hmmm EWU scores again, now lead 43-28.

Midway thru Q4, Elon leads #8 William & Mary, 27-10. Could be a third top-10 ranked team going down.

The NAU-EWU game is pretty crazy, EWU won 50-35, so much for running the table. EWU looks like the team to beat again this year. During the broadcast they mentioned NAU set a new enrollment record, 32,000 total and 23,000 on Mountain campus, with 5400 freshman - didn't realize NAU was that big. Not n tv but SUU leading PSU 31-17 in 3rd Qtr - SUU might be for real, could be an unhappy homecoming crowd Saturday.

Portland State is the largest university in Oregon with 30,000 enrolled...

SUU returns an interception 98 yards with 12 seconds left to beat PSU

They were already up by touchdown before that but that was a hell of a play to watch. We better not be overlooking the T-Birds when they visit us next weekend.
