FCS Games on DirecTV (Saturday Oct 27)

Back by popular demand (well, it has a few fans anyway). here’s what we’ve found so far on DirecTV broadcasts. Still no listings for the 700 channels, but those should come … often from among the ESPN3 listings. They seem to be getting slower and slower, so I’ve included some “TBD” games. These are more “hope shots” than high expectations (like the Griz game).

As usual, will try to update as we learn more. That will help streamline the list as some (most?) of the ESPN3 and TBD possibilities don’t pan out. (And, just as reminder to those of you who have good streaming capabilities, the ESPN3 games are currently streamed for free.)

What “station” is broadcasting the sCats vs Bengals? I haven’t been able to find it on my Dish guide. It’s not on the locals that could carry an SWX broadcast, and it’s now showing on Altitude. Root has EWU vs the Spuds, so I’m curious if it’s gonna end up on something like Pluto for me.

That tells me Pluto is my only option. I have never been able to watch a live game through Pluto on my TV. The App just freezes when I select the live game. It works fine on my phone, but I find that its hard to follow a game on the phone.
I'll just follow on the thread that'll be on here.
Good thing I'll have the Griz to occupy my time though :thumb:

For those of you in Northwest Montana, the Direct TV guide does not list the Griz game on 23 KTMF. I got burned on the Portland State game, when I watched the debacle on Pluto, not knowing that it was being shown locally in HD 15' away on satellite. I was told after the fact, that the game was indeed shown on Direct TV. They cut away from the national game.

It is also good to know that the Idaho / EWU is listed on no less than six separate channels. Does anyone understand why that happens? I get the Root Denver and the Root NW, but what about all the others?

We see those multiple channels showing the same FBS game every weekend. And there does not seem to be any pattern to it, other than the games never involve ranked teams (not that we can recall, anyway). When we see it on a national scale, we assume different channels are used for different regions, so some channels may be blacked out in some areas.

spend $30 on chromecast, and put it on your tv through your phone. works great. there is still time to pop over to staples or bestbuy or whatever and pick one up. it only takes a few minutes to set it up after you plug it into your tv.

Thankfully I’m able to get the rest of the Griz games either on Root or my Dish locals...
