FCS Games on DirecTV (Nov 16)

It’s that time of year again … when we see another round of money games. So we have a pretty fair number of games showing on DirecTV, including the Griz on ROOT.
Code:
VMI at Army 10:00 am	221
Alabama St at Florida State 10:00 am	649, 654, 788
Pennsylvania at Harvard 10:00 am	628
#17 Monmouth at Campbell 11:00 am	790
Missouri St at #7 Illinois St 11:00 am	665
#22 Austin Peay at Murray St 11:00 am	791
Mercer at ETSU 11:00 am	792
Idaho State at BYU 1:00 pm	793
#3 Weber State at #5 Montana 1:00 pm	101, 674, 687
Richmond at #2 James Madison 1:30 pm	639, 640
Incarnate Word at NMSU 2:00 pm	686-2
Howard at #12 Florida A&M 2:00 pm	788
#10 Montana State at UC Davis 5:00 pm	623

Besides the obvious Big Sky fun, there are some potentially important and interesting games being shown. For those with strong stomachs, we have Alabama State at Florida State and Idaho State at BYU.

Florida State (5-5) must have one more win to be bowl eligible, and their final game is at Florida. That’s a rivalry game, but their chances are pretty slim on that one. The Seminoles will likely sit anyone who’s a bit dinged up, but those who do play will be rabid to put this game away ASAP.

BYU (5-4) is in the same boat, needing one more win to be bowl eligible. The Cougs will probably be all right after ISU, when they go to UMass. But that’s not always a given, and then they have to go to San Diego State.

Army is a bit down this year, so perhaps they won’t crush VMI too badly.

Then we get to a bit of possible intrigue. Incarnate Word is actually a better team than their record (5-5) looks. We've seen them play, and they’ve had some tough losses. New Mexico State hasn’t won a game yet, and most of their losses have been blow-outs. There closest loss (by a FG) was to New Mexico (2-7), which is only slightly less bad than the Aggies. An upset here would not be a shocker.

Thanks Ida......
You're very welcome.

Any thoughts on the Inky-Word/NMSU game and a possible upset? (I got my doctorate from NMSU. They're a basketball school, if anything, so football continues to suck hind tit ... and it shows. Should be FCS for football.)

Only thing I know personally about either school, is really nothing. I do know a couple guys that graduated from NMS back in the late 60's or early 70's. I will be shocked if IW stays with NMS, simply due to the strength of schedule differences. OBVIOUSLY, NMS has played a 3-4 times harder schedule than IW IMHO, and based on that I would think they will have little to no trouble with IW. Just my opinion. Enjoy your football Saturday, and GO GRIZ !
