FCS Gameday Preseason Rankings

I know there's a few here that don't particularly care for ISU much. But for what it's worth, the Sports Network actually has ISU pulling the upset over UNLV this year in Vegas. And since we play Montana, MSU and EWU all at home this year, I think we have a good chance at winning two of those three.

The Bengals are getting more respect from the media and I think they're better than you think they are. And the Sporting News magazine has ISU rated at #13 preseason, the Athlon magazine has them at #18, the Sports Network FCS poll has them at #13, and the NCAA FCS simple rating system has them at #19.

Pretty much what Htowngriz said. I don't get this site's fascination with polls.....

Yep. Out of sight, out of mind. ISU could end up in Frisco this year. Druther it be da Griz, but...
This is not one of the Bengal teams we have seen over the past 30 years. Kramer haters should open their eyes and minds and take a fresh look.

I would recommend laying off whatever mind-altering substance produced this statement.

The operant word is" could." They have as much chance as UM, MSU, or EWU(all of whom come to Pokey late October to early November). I spent a lot of time in Holt since the millenium, and last year was incredible. Check out the stats on bigskyconf.com. Believe what you will.

The fact they're all duped doesn't make them right.

You lost your all-world QB from a team that LOST to Utah 56-14, LOST to UNLV stablemate Utah State 40-20, LOST to EWU, LOST to MSU. You had exactly ONE "quality" win...Cal Poly. You had a good offense (now minus the QB), but your defense got routinely ripped by ANY team with a semblance of an offense.

Pardon us if we're not ready to lay the BSC title at the Bengals' feet.

I'm gonna bet--at best--1 and 3 in those four games. With your best bet being a win against MSU.

  Kramer's guys believe in their ability. Haven't seen that since Gutierez transfered from Michigan in the early 2000's.
The UM game could be the first sellout Holt has seen in a very long time. Only two sections reserved for the Griz fans, traditionally. That could change.

Well I "could" end up in Jessica Alba's pants this year, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

Kramer is one of the top 4 coaches in the Big Sky. From my point of view I see ISU beating some folks that they were not suposed to beat. He still has a hell of a mad on for msu. Stay tuned as the guy can coach football and keeps up with the times.

We lost our all-world QB, but so what. We've got an all-world JC transfer coming in from Arizona to step in and a great backup waiting in the wings. And we've brought in some great JC defensive players to help out greatly. I know our defensive will be much improved this year. When you end up losing 3 or 4 league games, then you Griz fans will be calling for your coaches' head once again.
