FCS FBS upsets

Saw this line on an article from sporting news made me chuckle.
Will an FCS team upset an FBS team? Probably.

Here are the front runners, with my two favorites in bold:

— Northern Iowa at Iowa State (Northern Iowa beat Iowa State in 2013, 28-20)

— Eastern Kentucky at Purdue (EKU barely lost in overtime vs. EKU last season, 34-27)

— Eastern Washington at Washington State (Last year, Portland State upset Washington State 24-17)

— Rhode Island at Kansas (the Rams went 1-10 last season, but I still like their chances)

— Montana State at Idaho (Not the Montana Grizzlies — but the Bobcats are still legit)

Not too many people agreed with you about the Rams ... that matchup was in set number one in my FCS vs FBS poll thread(s) and garnered only 7 votes out of 94. However, here's what my comment was about that game:

Rhode Island has been way down for several years now, but they supposedly had the next-to-best recruiting class in the Colonial and are on their way back. Kansas, meanwhile, is even worse at the FBS level, having not won a game last year, including an opening-game loss to South Dakota State. Hmmm.

So you may be onto something.
