FCS Doings (Except MSU vs UI)

Answering my own question: Looks like Nevada will be streaming the game versus Cal Poly through their campus web site http://www.nevadawolfpack.com/videos/

We'll see, I guess.

Oh, and if anyone cares, Eastern Michigan is killing Mississippi State 21-0 early in Q2.
That's Mississippi Valley State...
Sure is. Typing too fast ... and now the score is 35-0 midway thru Q3. (Edit: And it looks like they're about to score again.)

FWIW, Albany leads Buffalo at the half, 14-13. And Furman is down "only" 3-14 to Michigan State at the half. The expected blow-outs are going on in the other FCS-FBS games -- Miss Valley State, in particular, is getting obliterated 47-0 with 2-3 minutes left inQ3.

Albany has a good drive and goes up 20 to 16. Considering going for two....
Not sure what that was about ... a TD and PAT would still give Buffalo the lead. May just wanted to get into the Buffie's heads.

Meanwhile, CP looks like crap against Nevada -- the Wolfpack marched right down the field (way to easy) to start with and then CP gave them a short field with a fumble. Down 14-0 already.

Furman down only 8 points to MSU in Q4.

CP looking way better now. Nice drive to score and pull within a TD. Edit: Just got back over to see Nevada score again ... CP's pass D seems to have no answers.

MSU scored against Furman, so that one is probably downhill from here.

Albany up by 6 over Buffalo, and have the ball with under 4 min to go. If they can put together one solid drive, we might have our first FCS over FBS upset.

Getting weirder as time ticks away. Buffalo drives the field pretty much on penalty yards. Their QBs helmet comes off on 3rd down, he has to sit out on 4th which turns out being another (offsides) penalty Albany. They get the 1st, QB decides to play hero on a run dives for EZ get nailed fumbles through side of end zone. Touchback.

Albany ball maybe 3 minutes left. Would be their first ever FBS win if they pull it off.

And then a big-time penalty keeps the ball in Albany's hands ... and they pull off the upset.

Weird, but cool if correct -- the Nevada stream is a couple game minutes behind the updates on ESPN. So I know (I think) that CP is going to score on this current drive. So they'll be behind 17-24 early in Q4.

Yep, all of a sudden Nevada is having trouble with the CP option attack.

CP just tied Nevada 24-24 with about 1:20 left in Q4. Just ran it down the Wolfpack's throats.

(Kinda fun, actually, since the steam has not yet shown the TD ... but ESPN has posted it.)

Edit: OT. The streaming told me the weird stuff that happened not mentioned in the ESPN summation. CP actually did go for a 2-point conversion ... and the guy walked in, but the officials detected a false start somewhere. So then CP kicked the regular PAT.

Nevada wins in OT

CP gets a FG

Nevada a TD

Poly has 71 rushes for 382 yards
They actually out-gained Nevada by over 80 yards total offense. And, as usual with their style of offense, won the TOP battle by 36-24. The one thing Nevada did way better was 17 of 24 passing (71%), and CP had nine penalties for 75 yards versus four for 40 yards.
