How can we ensure these players, coaches, staffs are receiving a top-notch Division I postseason experience? How can we best leverage our location, our market, and our lodging, hospitality and entertainment opportunities to enhance game week? The fact is NDSU is able to provide the benefit to the players because the collective alumni base through team makers, provides more money to the athletic department at NDSU than the alumni base of the University of Montana.

Come to think of it, the whole program is like a lottery winner dude who tries to convince the neighborhood that the shark tank he had installed in his G-Wagon is “sick”. It sure does look like you have just proved my point. That you are justified in paying your players to play. I personally don't care where the money comes from but I do think it offers a disproportionate competitive advantage for the Semi Pro Bison. Now then the doping matter just goes to show how far the Semi Pro Bison will go to stay on top.
Pat to play especially at the FCS level it detestable. Many if not most of the players are playing a sport they love to play some on scholarship and others just because they love the sport. But to the NODakota you betcha semi pro Bison, they need to pay em to move to Fargo to play. My thoughts are if that is the case move on up to the FBS level where this kind of abuse is most likely more common.

Wrong. It is providing college athletes with a stipend to help buy extra items not covered by a scholarship (shoes, gas, laptops etc) due to the fact it is extremely difficult to have a job on top of school and athletic commitments.

It absolutely has a place in college athletics and should have been implemented years ago.
