Notes from the game this weekend. I don't think it's going to be close.

Agreed. I don't even see Towson scoring twice. I'll watch, though. I haven't watched a FBS game since 2003 at least.

go Griz!

Why is that? Don't like football? The Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl were both fantastic games tonight. Sorry you missed them.

I had both games going tonight and I couldn't agree more -- a couple of highly entertaining games. Sure, I prefer the Griz and FCS games, but I'm a college football addict and Clemson/OSU and Missouri/Oklahoma State were examples of college competition at its best.

Anybody know why urban Meyer didn't call his timeouts at the end of the game? Could have got the ball back with about 20 sec left.

He probably took a page out of Delaney's coaching for dummies book and just didn't know he had any left. If he kicks off to start both halves next season then he read the book for sure.

Ok let me straighten everyone out on what happened that game where we kicked off twice! IT WAS NOT DELANY, HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING WRONG!!!! It was the captains. We won the toss to start the game. We were asked what we wanted to do. Our captains said "we wanna kick". That means we took our choice to kick off. At half the other team got their choice the said "we wanna receive" Montana kicks twice and everyone blames the coach. The coach tells the captains before they go out if he wants the ball or not. The captains screwed it up....they have been doingtthis since little griz....the correct response when you win a toss is "we want to receive or we want to defer to the second half" saying we want to kick means we used our choice to kick the ball, its an option and I have seen in happen in a few games where the captains are not paying attention when read the options.
