Surprised by the lack of faith in Eastern.... after Eastern’s bye week, they changed their offense to suit EB3 when it was confirmed Gubrud was done for the year. Since then, They have rallied off seven straight wins, six of them by 21+ points (including the CAA and southland champs). Eastern has a shot to win this...definitely underdogs but better than they are getting credit for.
I agree Marc. The teams who think they can beat the Fatsons at their own game are the teams I think have no chance. They end up getting ran over by the gravy train—literally.
That’s why I think teams like the eags (and maybe the Griz someday) are closer to beating them than teams like Weber and the Cants. No team can shut them out, so the only hope is to contain and out score them. Just like we did in the opener. Dweeber and MSpoo have terrible offenses. No chance.
But the eags have the best chance in a decade. That kid had 7tds vs a stout Maine D! Zone read the F outta ‘em

Some very good points. Still rooting for the officials to be the main story of the game. I mean to the point that neither team will be able to say definitively that they would've won the game but-for the horrible calls. I'm not talking PI calls that could go either way. I'm thinking an ambiguous fair catch returned for a TD, a fifth down, or a trap catch called for a TD on second down.

Fifth down would be my favorite!

You’ll never out-fat the Fats. They’re too damn fat. Only chance is to be faster and run around and away from the fatness.
That’s why the sCats are farther away from beating the Fatsoes then the Griz are. Cats’ shitty attempt to replicate fatball will always fall woefully short. It’s like some knock-off saw Chubby Checker and called himself Skinny Chess. Or Fats Dominoe to Slim Mexican Train. It’s never gonna work. So how can a known failure have an upward trajectory?

Eastern winning on a 5th down TD would be epic

NDSU better be ready, Eastern's offense will be better than any they’ve seen this year...

Just win the game already and shut up. After you win, then you can talk.

Agree. If EWU would knock them off it would be a monumental, epic upset. I for one would really love to see it. Yes EWU has a damn good team, but NDSU has a phenomenal team. 2018 NDSU is likely the best FCS team of all time.

Then we can talk? That’s priceless coming from eGriz.com where everyone talks constantly about everything!

Then again, I'm kinda partial to the '95 GRIZ and double D!! If only they recorded stats during the playoffs bak then...that guy, just wow!

With a Big Sky team playing, which means, no thoroughly incompetant, flag waving, center of the story, Big Sky officials will be involved. Sorry!

As for the NDSU team? No Fatso’s included. Our OL runs over other OL for 4 Qtrs due to muscle and fitness and lack of Fatso players. There may be a few FR fatso OL, but not by year 2. If you want to call fans fatso, ok, but team not so “fatso” much

On both sides of the ball No Dakota St is a damn machine. They should win another this year.

That being said, E. WA is more than capable of beating them. Eastern will have to adapt to the Bison defense being better than any they've faced. No Dakota will score plenty of points. They have excellent running backs and Stick has now started for four years and appears unflappable.

In the end Eastern can still out score the bison. The question is how long it take the Eagles to get their offense going, and how deep of a hole they're digging out of. If they keep it close in the first half Eastern has a great chance to win. Regardless, I don't see this game as a runaway as some are predicting.

this is the closest i have read that is more of what i believe, NDSU is the most disciplined team in all phases of the game, they stay in their lanes like no other on defense and the oline (9 man football or not) can execute to a tee, consistently. so well coached, even tho coaching seems to be underrated on egriz, they proved this
by putting a spy on SDSU qb to take away that big factor out of the game, as they will for this game as well.
they are so confident that they can actually lose a lb to contain the qb.
EWU will score first and dink the heck out of NDSU and then webster will burn them for the big ones.

it is my better judgement to go against the NDSU machine, however, sometimes, and i say sometimes, things do not appear as they seem. EWU gets by with a squeaker. :twocents: the way the market is going this is actually worth less, probably by other means as well.

How does one O-line run over other O-line?

UNDSU doesn't just share the secret all willy nilly.
I do know if you just say "totally agree" when they awkwardly flex on eGriz, they go brain pretzely.

Go Eagles Beat the Bizon! Damn that was hard to type. Eastern has a lot of Seniors going into this game as well 27 or so. I am hoping for the Americans to beat the Russians USA, USA, USA!

I can't believe ESPN can't put a title game on at a better time. 9am Pacific start time? Unreal.

I believe the early kickoff was scheduled as to not cause a conflict with the re-broadcast of the 2014 Johnsonville Cornhole regional qualifiers.
I wince every time I see the " pitch bean bags thru the open in a sheet of plywood" game. Ah these clueless millennials...
