I have been reading that there are rumors of possible Big 12 expansion. If and when this happens, the MWC is likely to be affected. Sooner or later the MWC will lose teams and need to backfill, the Griz and Cats should be positioning themselves for that.

NDSU and SDSU sure are, even if they are out of the footprint.

Would the MWC be interested in two schools from the same small state and would your state let MSU and UM be in different divisions?

Okay, I said I was holding out for a Pac-12 offer, but I might consider a Big 12 offer too. Thanks for the suggestion.

If the MWC were to look at FCS teams in that scenario, they would definitely look at Montana and MSU over NDSU and SDSU for this very reason... Geography.
