FBS Playoffs?

Has anyone heard anything new on this?

IMO, it would be nice to see something like a 16-24 team playoff system with the conference champions getting an AQ to the playoffs, with strength of schedule & overall rating determining the remaining spots.

I have never understood why people think that bowl games and a playoff system need to be mutually exclusive.

I don't think they need to be either. Something like a multi tiered playoff bowl game system would be neat. Winners of the bowl games move on to another game based on geographic location or something.

I think i'd just rather keep it simple and stick to the good o' - ROCK PAPER SCISSORS myself. This new school stuff hasn't soaked in yet.

It's really quite simple...: Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock, and—as it always has—rock crushes scissors.
