FBS 12-Team Playoff Gameday Implications

Read an article by Pat Forde last night how the 12-team FBS playoff will most likely move FBS rivalry week to the same week as Griz-Cat (FCS rivalry week). All that to say, if we want College Gameday in Missoula for the Brawl, it needs to happen this coming season, or maybe in 3-years depending on how they roll out the new format. Caveat: we could still get Gameday for a non-brawl game at any point depending on the overall schedule of any given week, it’s just exponentially less likely during FBS rivalry week.

It could happen next year, depending once again on the landscape of available games. They went to Fargo two years in a row in 2013 and 2014.

But I would probably bet more money on them showing up at a non-brawl game, if they do come.
