Favre Becoming More of an Ass by the Day...

OK - I have been a lifelong Packer fan, and used to love Brett Favre. But the guy has turned into a complete ass. Or maybe he always has been, and now the reports are coming out even more. Here is what he said about Aaron Rodgers in a radio interview with 790 "The Zone" in Atlanta...

“[Rodgers has] tremendous talent, he’s very bright and he got a chance to watch and see successful teams do it right. And so he just kind of fell into a good situation. On top of that, he’s a good player. I don’t think there’s any pressure on him now, the talent around him is even better than when I was there. So I’m really kind of surprised it took him so long. In the early part of last year season, it hadn’t quite clicked yet and I didn’t know it would. I just kind of figured when they hit their stride, they’re going to be hard to beat. And that’s what happened

C'mon Brett. It is time to ride off into the sunset and go away......

i read this twice in search for something he said that wasn't true. couldn't find anything. not saying he's not an ass, he may be just that. but i don't see how what he said is so bad....

What an ass. Count me in on the "just go away" bandwagon.

"I don't know why it took so long" and "didn't know it would (click)" were the things that didn't seem to fit my recollection, so I done some research.

The two years before it "clicked" and after Brett was sent packing.
2008- 4038 yards, 28 TD's to 13 INT's
2009- 4434 yards, 30 TD's to only 7 INT's

Makes it easy to see why the Packers finally told him not to come back.

If you listen to the WHOLE interview I think it's a compliment. Just heard it on Colin Cowherd on ESPN. He talks very well/highly of Rogers.

I heard it on Mike & Mike this morning, and I will admit it sounds somewhat better when you hear him live, rather than reading the words. HOWEVER, it sounded like a pretty forced compliment, if that is what it was. He was still doing his best to frame it as a perfect situation that Rodgers "fell into". In other words, Rodgers should thank him.

Cowturd never wanted to give Rodgers credit until he had to after the Super Bowl. I get a kick out of this interview.
