Cooper Barnum is a linebacker for the Griz. His dad is the head coach at Portland State. Robby Hauck is a defensive backs/special teams coach for PSU. His dad is the head coach for the Griz.

Certainly an interesting dynamic for both families. Also, not isolated to these teams as we have seen in the NFL with the Kelce brothers and others.

But, is there an advantage to either team because of these relationships? Bobby addressed it in his press conference yesterday indicating he is sure Robby would love to beat his old team. Brint addressed it in his game preview indicating Robby will likely be providing insider knowledge on signs.

Does it go beyond the above? If it comes down to a close game, will the loser be wondering if things would have ended differently if these relationships were not there?

Barney is always good for laughs. Last year in his interviews (Colter & others) he talked about his wife wearing Griz colors to support her son and Barney trying to put a stop to that when she had a Griz birdhouse for their backyard. And always something comes up about the Dot's pretzels. I purchased my big bag of pretzels already.

I heard they knew that Portland State knew the Griz were planning accordingly and decided not to plan accordingly.
