Fan appreciation tailgate scheduled

The University of Montana Department of Athletics and the Grizzly Scholarship Association (GSA) are sponsoring a fan appreciation pre-game tailgate party on Saturday, Feb. 27, prior to the Montana-Montana State men’s basketball game. The event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. in the East Auxiliary Gym of the Adams Center. A ticket for the basketball game, which tips off at 7 p.m., is required for entry.
Grizzly coaches and staff will serve at the tailgate. Beer and hot dogs will be available for $1 each, with water and soda available at no charge. The UM Pep Band, Spirit Squad and Monte will all make appearances.
The event is open to all ages. Griz Kidz Care, operated by ASUM Childcare, will open at 5 p.m. in the West Auxiliary Gym and remain open until the end of the game. Griz Kidz Care is available for children ages 3-12 for a price of $3 per child.
For more information about the event call 243-6481. Tickets are still available for both the women's and men's Griz-Cat basketball games. The Lady Griz face the Bobcats at 2 p.m. on the 27th, followed by the men that evening. For tickets call 243-4051, visit Grixtix.com or stop by the Adams Center box office.
