Ok I have to admit it; I did something I promised I would never do. With 96’s quote and all the talk about C.A.T. hype, I could not believe it, so I thought I would visit BM and see for myself. I learned my lesson.
And, it’s even worse than I thought, as the C.A.T.S. are going to the super bowl this year:

Choate's quote below is very interesting to me. That is very high praise and makes me think this team is going to be something special. Either that or Choate is over hyping how solid they are, which I doubt.

"They are playing pro football right now. There is no school, there’s no jobs. That’s what these guys are and I think they’ve handled it like that.”

Perfect. Not only the backups are better than starters, in the hunt for a Championship, but, they are now also playing pro level football.

That’s good comprehension fellas!

Oh boy. The irony. You C.A.T.rolls are getting dumber.

Some of the Cats have TA penciled in as a 2d round NFL draft pick.

TA is good, and if he has a great year at linebacker MIGHT be a 4th round pick. Theres a farts chance in the wind that guy goes in the first three rounds though. Trumaine Johnson was light years better than TA and he didn’t even crack the 2nd round.

TA is a good athlete and above average LB. his chance in the NFL is special teams. He is not a better LB than Olson. If TA doesn’t get full PT at LB this year than his NFL stock is gonna be pretty damn weak. NFL scouts don’t give two damns if he and carry the ball or throw a wobbly duck 20 yards. He’s an awesome athlete that can do damage in the fcs. He’s not an above average athlete by NFL standards and he won’t have the experience or fine tune at LB he needs for NFL teams to believe the hype for a higher draft pick. Good workouts after season will be his best chance to move up the board a little

On other notes I heard the “non scrimmage” closed practice was really really positive. Both sides of the ball were able show what they have installed and both sides made consistent plays. Safety play and WR play are gonna carry this team it seems. Both lines sound like they are much improved over last year and RBs are getting to the second level. Only 13 days everyone!!!!!!

Thanks for this!

Any updates on who the players are that are making waves in camp? Who have moved their way up the depth chart? Which under classmen are going to be part of our 2 deep? This is my effort to get this back to the GRIZ camp, and not Anderson of the Cats.

Corbin Walker sounds like he has a real chance at starting as a freshman at corner. Gradney looks good too and could play. McGinnis, Mamula, Babros have all had great reviews. Jannacaro too.

Idk about Corbin starting but the guy is gonna get PT this year for sure and could be a starter at some point. Babros has pick up very well. By far the standouts of camp are the WRs, LBs and Safeties.
The safety depth is ridiculous, 6 guys could all play and start. They should help ST play a ton as well.
Toure is showing out and Sulser is showing multiple assets and not just speed.
RB is an open job and we will see probably all 3 guys plus Sulser, JLM and Graves get touches on plays
The hidden gem of the camp is the TE play. We just have 3 solid dudes there and they are gonna be those third and 4 type guys that we can trust to make a short catch or make that second level block.
Still lots of ?s. We don’t have a solid 3rd QB. CB depth still isn’t great. OL although better, are not road graters. We will have some trouble vs good D lines. However I think we will see them improve all year long. Inner Dline may be hit or miss.

For what it’s worth, a player recently told me that Mamula is an incredible freak of an athlete. I have also heard good reviews about Babros and Grossman at D-End.

That's what I'm talking about. Thank you for the information. I very much appreciate it!
