Facilities, strength program, analytics

You don't know what you are talking about. Was on roster 3 years. And we were talking recruiting anyway. Knows nutrition is not a recruiting pint.

He is on the 2016 roster as a true freshman and not on the team for the 2017 roster.

He was on team all frosh year in fall and spring. Got injured. That’s 2 calendar years. Was asked to come back out junior winter and did. Was on team winner and spring. Decided in late summer right before camp not to play. Let’s bet $500 on this. Put up or shut up.

Soccer at Sentinel in Sept. then kicking a 5 step 35 yard FG for a prep school in Mass in December. Did the credits transfer?

Quite the hudl profile. Lots of views....4 or 5.

D1 recruiting for kickers is primarily done through Kohls and Sailer. He is not ranked with either of them.

You 2 fuc$tards have missed the point entirely. There are very, very few D1 athletic departments that dont have a nutrition program - or course P5 programs and conferences have them at echelon. My girls are well taken care of - monitored and on personalized programs.

That's not the point - the point is recruits do NOT choose to attend based on who has the best nutrition program. They just don't. It's not even a top 20 criteria.

I know it's hard for you guys to understand this basic sports stuff because you spent your youth building computers in your rooms.

Some of us however, are well connected to P4 athletic departments. You should read more and post less.
I wish I spent my youth building computers. My buddy who did that has a remote computer programming job based out of Chicago. He makes 6 figures, probably more than you ever have made in a year and he is only 7 years into his career. He lives in Arizona or Florida in the winter and Colorado in the summer. He is always golfing and never working it seems to me. Not a bad situation for someone 30 years old.

This relates to the thread, how?

“Nutrition was a big one… You just have a lot more access to things that can benefit you most definitely.” — Idaho transfer Andrew Marshall on Nebraska’s nutrition setup.

You are clueless about football and Nebraska. Egriz should create a clueless geriatrics club for you, Hoops, Hike and Oldn. I feel bad for anyone associated with you. You are bottom of the barrel.
Hey boys, get AFC, athletes today have been on a nutrition program since before they were playing in HS football. You are misguided if you think that is not case. Please stop pretending like you know better!

The point was the article had a quote from a transfer from Idaho who said Nebraska’s nutrition program was the primary reason why he transferred there.

Trashing on Hoops kid just because he's Hoops is low man. Takes a real shitty human to talk crap about somebody's kids, especially over an online football argument. Be an adult.

Hoops has the culpability of bringing his kids into this discussion.

If I was a S&C coach, I would focus, at least some time, on the Olympic sports. Then you have the opportunity of getting invited to Colorado Springs and some of the best S&C research and coaches in the nation, if not the world.
All Strength coaches are certified by the NSCA and have a CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist). You can't be a head guy without a 4 year degree preferably in Exercise Physiology or similar and a CSCS. To earn it, you have to have a strong foundation in the application of Olympic lifts and Power Lifting lifts for sports. Through experience and going to a lot of clinics, you learn how to design a program that benefits each respective sport. In football, you want the men to be coiled springs....explosive power from a static position etc. You use olympic movements...not full oly's but partials like hang cleans and hang snatches....sometimes hoists and yanks. These develop power but reduce risk. The last thing you want is to have ball players doing full clean and jerks or snatch and get hurt. Breaking them down into movements that mimic game day work really well. These along with Squats and different presses make up the primary movements of a program. Then you individualize based on individual needs with auxiliary exercises sets and reps.

I would add that "Power lifting" exercises really have nothing to do with power. Olympic lifts are true power. P = F × v, where P is power, F is force, and v is velocity. Squats, Deadlifts and Bench have a very small velocity component. A good program incorporates all of these in some capacity as well as HIT training and functional strength movements. Mostly in closed chain compound lifts. When your hands or feet are locked in place like pull ups or a hang clean, it translates to real life movements vs open chain movements like leg curls or bicep curls where your feet are moving up and down etc.

You're hired!

I'm happily retired! ;) To be frank, all certified coaches have the knowledge. What separates good from bad is teaching ability and having great people skills. Just like classroom teachers are all certified but can they actually teach and motivate? A good teacher imho is born not made. I'm not saying this regarding UM and their program because I don't know whats happening btw. I'm just making a general point.

Bullshit. Grow up
My son and his friends were recruited for football in recent times and none of them cared to watch videos on nutrition. You are the clueless one. You never played. And you have never had a kid recruited and gone thru the recruiting process with them. 3 of my kids played sports in college and 2 were recruited for football. 4 of my nephews played college football including one for Griz. Another nephew played a dozen years ago. Lots of you cousins. My niece’s son is playing now. You don’t know what you are talking about.

No confusion at all. Was clear on all that. You are confused. How is your benchwarmer son doing.
GMAFB! Hoops not only brought his family into the discussion, he was trashing other people’s family before anyone besides Hoops mentioned his. The 75 year old is the one spewing bs and needs to grow up.
