Rotten Aussie bastards stole our Griz paw logo. Good, we stole their boarding bohunk.

I wonder if they have any talented graphic artists?

That is funny shit, Ursa!!

Well, I guess I'm not overwhelmed with the guy's numbers. But let's be frank: You could put a post -- an actual post, like a light standard -- in the post and improve our center's numbers from last year, so.... whoopee, I guess.

It's a start, that is a good thing. :thumb:

I don't understand this comment EverettGriz. The guy averages 7.8 points, 5 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game and his average playing time is 17 minutes. That converts to a double double in 34 minutes. I don't see those as bad numbers. What am I missing?

Nothing really wrong with them. But my first question is why is he only playing 17 mins? My next question would be how good is the competition? My final question is how is he going to adapt in America (to the style of play, to being so far from home, to school, etc).

Look, I like the signing. I'm just not doing any cartwheels. At least not yet.

I'm not sure what to think of this signing either. I like what Wayne says about him. There are plenty of Aussies that are major contributors for NCAA teams. The level of basketball over there is pretty damn good. I just hope we have an Aussie who can finally contribute big for our program. Lopez is still young and we still don't what he is capable of. Vanderjagt never materialized here.

What I do like about this signing, his production per minute basis is very good. He also like his block shot numbers. He is not really tall. I wonder if he has a long wing span that helps him with blocks?

I am very happy we did sign 2 post players this season. We need Krslovic to contribute this season, unless Martin and Kemp each have great off seasons. I hope they each do what the coaches expect them to do. I am confident Breunig will be an all conference level post this season, providing our guards become efficient at getting him the ball.

If Kemp is "allowed" to play the four instead of being forced in at the five, I think he will be far more effective. Likewise, if Lopez can return to being a two/three instead of a four, he is likely to contribute more.

i'm pleased with the krslovic signing. what popped out at me were the shot-block numbers because shot blockers have generally have skills common to all phases of basketball--agility, quickness, timing, leaping ability. not only that, he's going to get a wealth of experience playing on the international circuit, and he's going to reinforce what seems to be a good recruiting tie to an entire continent. australia has and will continue to produce good basketball players.

my caveat is, how ready will he be as a true freshman. you all know how i feel about that. i wish we could redshirt both freshmen big men this year, but since that won't happen with krslovic, any contribution we get from him next year will frankly be a surprise to me. gfeller redux.

Thanks for the clarification EverettGriz. Your concerns are very reasonable and logical. He also played in the World Championships U17 in 2012. When players are on national teams they tend to get their minutes divided by the participants so everyone has a relatively equal amount of playing time. His stats for the World Championship are pretty close to his high school stats. He averaged 15.8 minutes a game, 5.1 points per game, shot 55.6% from the field, 73.3% from the line and averaged 3.6 rebounds per game. The Aussies finished 2nd to the US in that.

I don't know how good he will be either but I am excited to find out.

I'm clueless on what his skill level is, but what I AM excited about is Tinkle said Krslovic is tough and physical. Ding, ding, ding, ding! That's a winner right there. The Griz have been soft down low for too long.

Tinkle is a smart bb coach, he signed this kid for a reason...now it's up to the kid to perform.
