Expectations for this season?

Honestly we should be around 8-3. That leaves one OOC loss, One loss to someone we should beat and One loss to either Idaho or MSU. That being said, we could beat all the OOC and Idaho and MSU. I still see us losing a min of 1 game we shouldn't.

QB has gotten more stable although the top talent is an unknown
RB is just as good with more depth
FB better since we have one
TE better since we have one
WR better because they all grew in talent and a year worth of practice
OL got worse and we have a bunch of unknown. projected starters sit at like a 305 average weight. The TE group should help this all a TON

DL about the same. added some and lost some
LB Buss playing we are just as good, buss out we are worse but the 4-2-5 will help this
CB we got better. We have more depth and more experience in practice. I think we actually are gonna be okay here. coaches are confident we have some talent at CB
S got much better and has good depth.

K got better...year over year growth and a transfer
P got better...year over year growth
KOR- got better as JLM will see the primary returns
PR same
KOT will be better because Hauck is a ST guru
PT will be better because of Hauck

Coaching is going to be better overall. These coaches know what it takes and are gonna tell everyone who doesn't want to put the effort in...to pound sand. Will they get the team buy in? we will see

How can you say with McKinley and Sanders leaving and the CB position with a ton of unknowns that the CB position got "better"?

There are 3 different types of fans on here. Pro Bobby, anti Bobby and the realist.

Pro Bobby will say we have upgraded at QB, DLine, secondary, coaching etc. any record is okay. He doesn’t have his players yet

Anti Bobby will say he ran off good players, moral is low etc. losing record to be expected

Realist(And where I Fall into) All American QB is gone. The two most productive Defensive players are done. One injured, the other run off. It’s not out there yet but 2 starting Olinemwn are out, one for a while and the other not sure how long.
The schedule is easier this year with no UW, NAU, EWU or Weber on it. Winning less than 8 games will be a total failure.

5 wins at best

There is more depth at QB. Who said d-line was upgraded? Answer: no one. No newcomer has arrived. Secondary was upgraded by bringing in 3 new safeties, 2 from FBS.

Morale is very high. No one has said anything about low morale. The QB wasn't even all-conference, even mention, I don't think. Hardly an all-American. Was beaten out in spring ball. Sims and Buss are the 2 best defensive players, and yes Buss is hurt. I call BS on 2 o-lineman being out. Don't agree on the schedule. 2 total cream puffs are not on the schedule this year.

I know you are just a troll, but I thought I would showwhat a dumb troll you were.

Maybe I can shed some light on this.

1) they are down two starting lineman. I will inbox you.

2) Jensen wasn’t beat out. In fact the conversation he had with Hauck when asking for release. Went something like this... Jensen asked for release. Hauck said you are our guy. Jensen said he didn’t get a 1st team snap all spring. Hauck said maybe we went to far with the head games.
A little to late. Hauck knew what he had or he wouldn’t have blocked him for what essentially be the rest of his career.

Just because Favoroso isnt on the team doesn’t take away from what he did last year and he would have been the 2nd most productive returner despite playing almost 4 games less in snaps then any other returning starter.

Struggle to see more than 7 wins. I don't think the overall schedule is as soft as many make it sound, especially for a team that has been middle of the road the past 2 seasons. (queue the, but Hauck is our coach crowd, to dismiss the mediocrity the program has been mired in)

LOTS OF UNKNOWNS. The schedule will not be that easy at the beginning Sac St and Davis both are going to be in the mix for playoffs and have senior QBs. Then those last 4 games are brutal. I could see anywhere from 3-4 wins to best case being 9 wins. Like Brint said more realistic to put us in the 6 to 7 win prediction.

The real question will be if Griz fans can handle a 6-5 team with no playoffs? I think Coach Hauck’s grace period with most fans will be over right then and there.

What a bold prediction

9 wins and we make it to the 2nd round. W vs scats and play real tough vs Idawho

Agreed. GTFO of here troll

If Jensen is so great, why didn't any FBS or even FCS teams want to sign him? After all, he was a "freshman All-American" right? The Bobcat QB signed with Oregon, a top 10 FBS team at that time, but no FBS team wanted Jensen, with 3 years to play??? Go figure. Willie Pflug....or won't he Pflug....that is the question. I think won't he Pflug is more likely.

Well, he was blocked from pretty much every FCS team in the west...but your point is noted.

I believe wash st and some others did want him but he would have to sit out a year and not play and then only have 2 to play 2. JUCO was more attractive and he found a great one. With all that being, he didn’t want to look over his shoulder and thought he deserved to be the guy so he moved on. I’m over it and everyone else should be too. The Griz team is most certainly over it.

I’m with you 100%. I think if all goes right the Griz go 7-4. I do think they make playoffs at 7-4

Sort of my thoughts too. With a win over the Cats, but perhaps no playoffs.

My "expectations" take a different route: I expect (am confident) that the Griz players will compete hard ... giving their all. :egriz:

Wins and losses? Different animal, since so much has changed with the team. Plus, there are way too many variables that are out of the team's and coaches' control (the opponents, injuries, weather, etc etc). I think they can go at least 7-4, but that's just a WAG. ;)

X4.^^^ It could come down to to a 7-3, or 6-4 record going into the Scat game with the Scats having a similar record. Winner moves on, loser goes home. That would be a slobber knocker! Hoping it's better than that but I will be happy if we're at six or seven wins at that point.

Go Griz!

Note that Sanders was hurt, hardly playing, and not starting towards the end of the season. So, at the end of the season, he wasn't a factor and he was going to be gone this year due to his injury or injuries.
