No-brainer here. 2.4 rating in Birminham, thirty-seven tv's tuned in @ the palatial ABG estate alone. ESPN has been broadcasting last years' games non-stop for the last month, a practice they started years ago to get the fans gin'd up for the start of the season.

People are starved for their football come late August. The FCS already is getting teams on that weekend. Expand it, make money, get exposure, satiate the hungry who are willing to eat bugs for dinner (metaphor, again, since FCS football honestly is awesome and not nearly publicized enough), and keep on soaring, FCS.

Commissioner Williams - let's get out in front of this.

right....why have one game??? Lets make it 4- games all in a row..starting at noon work from east coast to west coast....8 different FCS teams get exposure....all college football fans get "warmup games" for the season to start the following week....FCS gets great exposure for all regions of the country...

make a deal like the 2 teams that played in the chipper the year before are garaunteed a game that day

Seems like a no brainer win-win.
