Excellent Tackling

One major improvement I have noticed with Hauck is our tackling. So much better than the past few years and past regimes. Robby is the best pure tackler at safety I have seen since Colt Anderson. Great job by the staff.

..l wouldn't go that far but they are really playing at a high competitive level!
No offense, but if you haven't noticed a vast improvement in the tackling you have not been paying attention.

I commented on the good tackling by the CBs in another thread, but it definitely extends to the Safeties as well. Don't forget Sandry from Bigfork.
One thing we know for sure, with Bobby here there will be a big emphasis on quality MT players playing. And playing hard!

yes l agree!.. but just not with Robby being anywhere near as good as Colt Anderson..not yet anyway!

Very few yards after catch against UC Davis mainly because of great tackling and a good defensive scheme.
Go Griz!

I’m not a guy that has ever really cared where they’re from, but I gotta say it warms my heart when I see: Sims, O’Connell, Lewis, Sandry, Hauck, Turner, Sulser, Deming, Roberts, Walker, Rice, and to a lesser extent Graves, Fink and Welnell all playing, playing key minutes (or starting and starring)...There’s a definite “Montana” feel to the team again.

Biggest improvement this year IMO has been tackling. Tremendous improvement. Go Griz!

Agreed. Also huge improvements in blocking, kicking, coverage, returns, discipline, execution, focus, and so on. Nice to see a team beginning to resemble the Griz teams of the past. We're getting there :thumb:

Go Griz!

What? No one misses Dummy?

If you watch some tape from a couple of years ago there was an awful lot of ball carriers that got extra yards because two or three or four defenders were all trying to strip the ball before anyone having the player wrapped up.
