Maybe I didn’t dumb it down enough..... Every ex-player wanted to vomit last year and were never more embarrassed. Fans don’t get it. You don’t lose the the Cats period. If you do lose you don’t quit. It’s not talent it’s f***[*] heart. As a player you know the difference between good coaching and bad. It’s a reflection of what happens of the field. Not 75
Wow. You speak for EVERY ex player????

Actually, Yes this is speaking for all ex-players You know what Cat week is all about. To get destroyed by the worst Cat team in history is an embarrassment.
How about you just speak for yourself? Carries more weight than positioning yourself as some self appointed spokesperson....

Can anyone assure GRIZ NATION a realistic viable option to replace Stitt, that can and will meet the very high expectations some fans have? Meaning, have the results you want, immediately, just as you want and demand from Stitt.
Immediately?? This is the tail end of year three.

Remember, Stitt had a great win over NDSU and a playoff win over South Dakota state in his first year. He's had terrible luck with QB's but "his guys" (Reece and Gresch) have shown that his offense can produce consistently with the right guy at the helm. Losing Calhoun during our stretch run last year killed us. If you look at the circumstances that have led to some of the difficulties there's reason to exercise a little patience here. Losing Jensen is going to complicate things even more. If we get Jensen back and beat UNC and Ag State, I don't see how you can justify letting Stitt go. Semore, maybe, if we need a scapegoat...

Role out the old standby injury excuse once again, like we are the only college football team that has had to compete with back-ups at key positions. North Dakota State did not need that excuse when Wentz was injured for half the season. They have lost their All-America LB, and one of the best D-linemen in the FCS, but they just man-up and keep the train rolling. Did you hear the NDSU fan base whining about the loss of Wentz for half of the Griz win against them in 2015? I didn't. Stay classy and prove to the FCS universe of fans that we are not the whiniest fan base in America, like our reputation is purported to be.
Wentz was hurt with about 90 seconds left in the third quarter. Not half the game. And he continued playing.

Xgriz- if you are going to make the salacious comments on here they you have made, as an "ex player" you should have the balls to put your name on it. I call bull shit on you.

Toughness??? This team could have easily rolled over. They came out in the 2nd half showed extreme toughness. Weber didn't call off the dogs. They didn't go into a prevent offense or defense.

If you know anything about football you would know momentum is a very real thing in a game. Even with all the TO's, personal fouls and targeting calls it was one shit call that would flipped the momentum but instead added to Webers. It was the the QB simulating the snap call. Instead of 1st and goal it went to 3rd and long and the next play was an Int in the end zone that was returned a long way which resulted ina 14 point swing.

Lastly, even if you were an ex player(which I doubt) nobody gives a shit what you think. What matters is what the players on THIS team think and they love their coaches and teamates and showed it yesterday by not having any quit in them. The defense was great in the second half and their Freshman QB did make mistakes which is to be expected but he showed tremendous toughness and resilience. He fought like hell to the very end.

Very solid post.

Jensen is a stud. Stitt puts up points...... The kids put up a fight. If you don’t drop 31 we could’ve won. Still lost by 21. Pray for 7-4.
Maybe we can be 24th in country. Next year will be great though. Stitt will finally have all his guys.

Well Growler you did say you were back posting on eGriz. You won't last long. Maybe they should put you in your own forum here too, that seems to bother you more than being banned.

Well the Fitzgerald Family sounds like a bunch of disgruntled pussies then.
You obviously don't know them; I do. Two NC rings; real pussies.

Let me rephrase, I have a lot of respect for anyone who has played for the Griz or any college sport. It takes a very special person to do so. I don't think they are pussies....but I think they are acting like it with how disgruntled they are acting over this. Like I said, we don't even use a FB and there are a lot of things that go into recruiting that none of us realize. I can see being mad or being feeling rubbed the wrong way, but time to move on. Plus I was a little aggressive with my post as I'm still 99% sure this post comes directly from someone in that family still being pissed. Way too weird they pointed out that one player instance and mentioned him directly. Definitely has a tie to that player, I can promise that.

As for the kid laughing my guess is it was not funny laughing. I know i have seen many kids who will laugh to try and keep from crying in traumatic situations.its a nervous response not entirely something one can control.

I saw Eaton laugh after he fumbled, but what I took from the disgust on his face while he laughed, was that he was pissed. One of those moments you simply cannot believe and all you can do is laugh. He wasn't high fiving guys, he was standing by himself on the sideline shaking his head thinking about what just happened.

Speaking about laughing, some of the posts on this thread make we want to laugh at how little "competing" many on this forum have actually done. These kids are all out busting their asses and don't just "quit". If they did, they wouldn't be here in the first place. Just because some fat old armchair QB says it's so, doesn't make it so.

Not haters, we want what’s best for the program. Here is a list of why he should be fired and new coach brought in:

1. Last year gets destroyed by the worst bobcat team ever to play the Griz. Should’ve been fired then.

2. Throws players under the bus to media.

3. Shit special teams. Good coaching and effort all needed not talent.

4. Doesn’t recruit tough local kids. RJ Fitzgerald a legacy with father and uncle great contributors to griz championship teams. Griz didn’t give a crap. Went Cats as walk on and is now a contributor as true freshman on special teams

5. Shit Defense and his confidence in shit Coordinator. Not talent but coaching and toughness. Can’t win the big sky putting up 50 and giving up 51.

6. Loses games because of toughness not talent.

7. Poor fundamentals eg Griz standing up and being run over by the cats.

You know immediately great coaches. He can put up points. Enjoy that and losing to the Cats.

Just basic reasons there are many more. 7-4 Doesn’t cut it.

3 goals period:

1. Beat the Cats
2. Win Big Sky
3. Win National Championship

Additionally, hopefully Haslem either leaves in victory after fundraising for the Champions Center or we fire him.

1. Doesn’t give a shit about kids, just fundraising.
2. Hired Stitt.
3. Hired abusive VB coach ignored students/athletes formal complaints

I'm thinking this thread is satire. Ex-players my butt. Men who wore the colors don't call out people by name while hiding behind a cowardly skirt of anonymity. For about 30 seconds I thought this thread was serious. You got me. Good parody.

All the Stitt needs to get fired are in a win win position if he does.

With a new coach if...
Griz are bad
they will say "ya Stitt sucked as a coach"
(not taking into account that the new coach will go a different direction and the players on the roster probably won't fit the new coach)
Griz stay the same
("Well the new coach needs some time")
Griz get better
they will say "See they just needed a good coach" (even though all the players they would win with would be Stitt recruits)

EVERYONE needs to take a fricken lude and relax! Things take time and by the end of next year it will be crystal clear what needs to be done... Im guessing nothing.

I missed Payton's post on this thread, but I agree as well. The Stitt needs to go group is also in a win win in the short term, too. The tried and true: "I hope I'm wrong so the Griz are good, but if I'm right, I'll be right, so that will make me feel good about myself." It's super ballsy.

Will the excusers still be saying next year that Delaney didn't leave any o-lineman?
