EWU vs. UW

Northern Colorado should have beat Oregon State today. Lost by two after blowing big lead on Pac-10 school.

Eastern Washington up by 11 late in 2nd half...

Go Eagles! Newcomer Northern Colorado lost a heartbreaker to the PAC-10's Oregon State earlier today, 69-67.

A nice article on Stuckey in todays Seattle PI...sorry I don't have the link. I read it this morning. He's been a load in the game against UW. I think he had 21 at the half. UW by 56-54 with about 15 minutes to go.

Stuckey is UNREAL!!!!!! Helping his stock by playing lot of PG. I have a feeling this is the last year BSC teams have to worry about him. He IS without doubt NBA talent and game.

Stuckey is amazing, but EWU looks sharp -- crisp passing, good ball movement, huge hustle. They will be tough in the Sky.

Looks like UW will hold on for the win, but EWU gave them all sorts of headaches....wait a sec, Stuckey is making a 3-point play to pull them within 4 -- boy, he is impressive. 86-81, pending his foul shot with 50 seconds left.

Stuckey will get his points, just like last year. But we play really small when Butorac is out of the game. He set the all-time EWU blocked-shot record tonight. He may be our lynch pin in conference this year. But the season is young.

Kalm,

In a separate thread I posted an article about Stuckey from the Seattle PI. There are references to him leaving early for the NBA.

Jeez backer, enough with Stuckey leaving early. Face it, you're gonna have to deal with him for at least the rest of this season. Besides, you guys are 3-0 against him anyway. Double, triple team him, beat the shit out of him, and put him in enough foul trouble to stay under 40 points, and you'll probably win. :thumb:

There is a chance however, that we might have enough alternative fire power to do some damage this year. The jc transfer Omar Krayem is playing well and should continue to get the nod as the starting point guard. And Butorac just became the all-time EWU leader in blocked shots. In addition, he has put on at least 3 lbs - raising him up to a beefy $1.98. That's enough to push Strait off the blocks, isn't it?

Real heart-breaker versus Washington last night. That seems to be the theme of BSC teams versus top-notch competition thus far this year. EWU's 3 point loss to UNLV and then this.......hopefully the BSC will fare a little better during the remainder of their non-conference schedules.

Just trying to get him to the next level so he can make a big donation to EWU and you can finish that damn stadium of yours finally. :thumb:

You know that flattery like that will get you everywhere. Keep it up and we're gonna have to have a pre-game beer one of these years.

Great post
