EWU VS UNI

Fair enough ... but here's the bottom line:
EWU over UNI: +4 at home.
UM over UNI: +6 on the road.

Lol Bailey tries lateral long the ball to a no lineman and he fumbles. I hate EWU so much. They're so embarrassing. They're like that super wasted girl at the party who is having a blast but her tit is hanging out of her shirt and she doesn't notice all night.

How are they embarrassing? Be the last ones not named NDSU to win a championship, put together a string of Big Sky Titles and playoff appearances (even before the championship), grow their fan to the point where they regularly are at or beyond stadium capacity, beat a top 25 FBS team and most recently in-state WSU (ok, the Idaaho win doesn't count for much.)

I'd love to hear why because this sounds more like sour grapes to me...

I don;t think EWU is embarrassing. They are a great team year-after-year. Offensively, anyway. They have a coach Montana very badly tried to lure away to Missoula two years ago. BUT, I would slow your roll a little on the whole fan base thing. The high school field in Cheney was nowhere even remotely close to capacity today or even remotely close to what you would call near capacity. Any objective EWU fan, and there are some out there, will admit that, the Eags fanbase is sporadic at best.

Hmmm. I could be wrong, but I thought I heard them say attendance was 9100 today. For a stadium with an (official) capacity of 8600, that sounds pretty close doesn't it???

Your point about our facilities is well taken, we are all aware they are subpar. I think most of us are just happy to beat a quality opponent and go 2-1 in our murderer's row of an opening schedule. Stadium stuff is weak smack and something a lot of egrizzzers seem to be really fond of. If I were you, I'd be more prone to brag about the humiliation the grizz served the eags last year. We've really had the grizz's number this decade so that's a pretty good win.

And in terms of the fanbase- wasn't able to make it out to a game last year (due to a 1-2-3 punch of grad school and having twin infants) but I think we have a great group of fans. And compared to where we were when I was playing- games with 3000 fans, no student attendance- I'd say the fans have really come along in the last 7 years. Again, really weak smack.

EWU big favorites imo. Straight up EWU might be the best team in the FCS. Anyone who watched that game yesterday saw they got the short stick on a lot of bad calls and a missed fg at the end. I think EWU is a better team than NDSU but just got slightly unlucky.

Ha ha ha, for reals? Eastern isn't a top 5 team this year lots of good teams that have more than one of 3 phases of the game like Eastern does. UNI should roll they are a MVC team and we all know what happens when a big fluffy team plays big boy football. UNI wins by 10 plus

How did the Big Fluffy do against the big tough MVC today?

Knocked a little glitter off the Griz beating UNI....and the supposedly so tough UNI defense that held UM offense to 200 yards.

Nah, a win is a win. One of the biggest Egrizzer mantra's of all time is, every ranked team the Griz have ever beat suddenly becomes overrated AFTER the fact lmao. UNI played a murderer's row schedule and it's taken it's toll. FBS Iowa State, Montana and EWU. Pretty impressive they're even 1-2 right now, but it sure as hell doesn't make them overrated.
Wonder if we could convince Iowa St. to drop down and trade them for Idaho?

Hmmm ... let me see.

Okey-dokey: Unless I'm mistaken (and I could be, given the hour, booze, etc.), a "two week view" has it 4-3 for the "big fluffy," with two of the wins for the "monster" Mizz-Val coming in OT at home. I'll settle for that. With no disrespect either way, I'd say there's a lot of parity among the better teams in both conferences.

Is there a particular reason you didn't include the 1st half stats? Do those not count? Seems like those were the difference in the game. Just sayin.

Former, I wasn't talking smack, or discrediting EWU in any way. It's funny how posters choose to ignore certain parts of posts, like you did with the the first three sentences of mine. I was stating facts. The first one is, the Eags stadium is a high school stadium for all intensive purposes. And secondly, you and I both know, no matter what the announced attendance was, there was not 9,000 people inside that stadium today. Not even close. Look at the pics from Spokesman. Watch the replay on TV. No way.

just arrived home from being at the game...........home stadium seating was full, i saw about 20+ seats that were empty throughout the game. lots of people hang in the 2 tents on the vistor side so it is hard to look at the stands and judge how full the stadium is. i sat with a bunch of ew and uni fans in section O which is where the majority of the griz fans sit, this side of the field was about 75-80% full. so i would say that is was a good turn out.........it sure a long time to get to the freeway from the field which is some indication as well.
it was a great win for the eags..........seesaw battle with the red team pulling of a great second half, with better play calling and execution on both sides of the ball. aaron bailey and their running back #32 play a hell of a game. uni fans are really tired of losing to the griz and now more big sky teams.

So what's with the creepy demonic voices on the replays? Kind of strange, although if satan liked a football field , it would probably be EWU's.

Let me count the ways.

1. A huge game today, but all you see on TV was empty seats in what is already a ridiculously shitty "stadium" that seats like 12,000. WaGriz has more at the GSA tailgate.

2. The most impressive and noticble piece of the "stadium" was a single porta potty in the corner of one end zone.

3. There are 14 junior highs within walking distance of my house that have better facilities.

4. That 3rd down video. Seriously. I'd renounce any association I had with ewooo if I were shitty enough of a student that I had to attend ewooo if they continued to do that.

5. That riduculouslyfucking red field. Soooo NAIA.

I can keep this up all day.

Do the authorities know you're living so close to so many middle schools?

NDSU will probably be ranked in 2 polls this week. #1 in the FCS poll, obviously. Maybe #25 or better in the AP poll.

*edit... thought I'd posted this on the NDSU game thread, where I meant to

How long are people going to piss and moan about facilities in the BSC. It is what it is and nothing is going to change substantially no matter how long and hard you complain. I get that it just makes some people feel better about themselves, but do you think it is really a UM problem or a BSC problem? I will guess that many think the facilities issue is a BSC problem, but it really isn't.

I think the problem is that UM is in the BSC.

Nice clip of EWU's fake field goal about 34 seconds in. ESPN also gave NDSU some love this week too. Good stuff.

Kind of my point, and I don't see that changing either.

The team is good. The embarrassing part is everything that comes with it. Their shit show crowd. Attendance. Ghetto commercials. Everything but their team is trash.
