If the Griz don't get pressure on Gubrud and own the LOS, it's lights out. Opposing teams probably say the same thing about UM's offense, but JLM is the only serious threat.
The WR's are possibly the best unit on the Griz...

I agree that JLM is our only elite talent at wide receiver. We have a bunch of pretty good receivers, but none of them are difference makers, and none of them individually give us an advantage at that position (with the exception of JLM). Our receiving unit is effective based on the fact that Gus can spread the ball around to a bunch of different guys all over the field... But our advantage does not come from individual talent... But again, the exception is JLM but he's broken.
They may not be Cooper Kupp, but Homan and Calhoun are really damn good, with Curran not too far behind. Not to mention what Bingham is doing as a freshman.

How many times has the first guy gotten Homan this season? Maybe once?

Homan is the best wide out on the team and Calhoun is no slouch either.

Other than JLM, they are average BSC receivers dude. They're young and I'm sure will develop.. but right now, they're average. Curran has talent, but hasn't made the most of his opportunities.

Guarantee you opposing coaches aren't losing sleep over James Homan.

I agree.. and i think the biggest weakness in our receiving corp is they cant hold a block to save their lives. It drives me nuts when we run the swing pass out to the flats and it turns out no yards or little yards at all cause our receivers cant hold their blocks.. I know that group is young but i hope they can get better in that department.

Yeah, I'm going to chalk this all up to sulking. Both of you troll other boards when we're rolling, and then come back here for the pity party once the wheels come loose.

Name ten better receivers in the Big Sky. Either of you.

I joined after the NAU loss, so your claim of trolling other boards is ridiculous. I stick to my opinion that our receivers are good, not great. They are already better than they were to start the season though... so they are developing. JLM is a great talent, but he can't help us if he's on the bench hurt.

A pity party? It's the truth, our receivers are young and have a hard time holding blocks and blocking down field.

Oh whoops... My bad. I thought you were smoke'n me for no reason. I respect your opinion as well. Let's hope our receiving corps proves me wrong and helps us get a huge win on Saturday!

You think opposing coaches are really concerned about our receivers (other than JLM)?
Ten receivers, name them

Homan is the only receiver on the Griz in the top 10 in any receiving category, and he's 10th in both categories, which puts 9 players ahead of him in just stats alone. Considering the Griz have the 2nd best passing offense in the Big Sky, wouldn't you expect to see more players with better numbers?

I haven't watched much of the Big Sky besides who Eastern has played, but IMO Homan or Calhoun wouldn't crack Easterns starting rotation this year, and they'd be behind Butler and Marks at NAU, so thats 5 players on just two of the teams in the conference. I'm not going to waste my time on the rest of the teams...

I also think Curran is your best receiver, including JLM...

14 different players caught passes in the Sac State game alone.
