EWU Miljkovic to transfer

Damn this really sucks for EWU. They are losing 4 starters from this past season. I really liked EWU's team play this past season. They were a very good team. For the sake of EWU staying competitive, I hope they have players ready to step up to fill major roles.

Would any EWU fans mind commenting who they expect to step up and how they feel the newcomers will do this upcoming season?

Eastern has taken a beating with players leaving the bball and football programs early the past few years, although its nice Eastern is able to recruit that kind of talent. Surprised at OG leaving, but he really struggled to end the year.

As far as next years talent. Jois will be the lone returning starter, but he's an all conference player so that is good news. Sir Washington will start at the Point. He was a freshman this year, but broke his knee cap mid way through the season. He returned against Georgetown and played really well at the end if you saw the game. He's a very athletic, left handed guard, will be a good player in the big sky. Bliznyuk will start next year too, freshman of the year in the big sky this year, he will be a good one. My guess is the other two starters will be Von Hofe who is a good shooter and Kyle Reid who is an athletic forward.

Harvey leaving hurts, but can't blame him for taking a shot at the next level....

Jois is going to be a 5th year senior next year, correct? Does he have a chance to be a grad transfer or is he not finishing undergrad this year?

Jois never red shirted so next year will be his 4th, so I don't think the grad transfer rule comes into play. He is pre-med and a smart kid though...

Really? His EWU profile says he graduated in 2011 and his first year was 2012-2013. It doesn't say anything about a redshirt season but I just assumed since he graduated in 2011.

Looking at the roster on the EWU site, they don't have him listed on the 2011-2012 team so you must be right, wonder what he was up to in between 2011 and fall of 2012.

I don't know if this is the case but sometimes with International players the high school transcripts from their countries don't meet the US (NCAA) standards and kids have to take classes to bring them up to US standards.....Like I said....I don't know if this was the case here but it may have contributed to the "missing" year....

He really caught my eye in the BSC Championship game in Missoula. Kid is GOOD.

There's an article in Bleacher Report about Jois being one of the top 12 or so foreign born college bball players next year. If my wifi wasn't shit and BR was working right now, I'd post the link. Mabey later.
